‘SNL’ School White Americans With ‘The Day Beyoncé Turned Black’ Parody (Video)

This weekend Saturday Night Live kicked off with one of its funniest skits: a parody of white America’s reaction to Beyoncé’s new song Formation, a black power anthem featuring a Black Lives Matter-themed video and a Super Bowl performance with Black Panther Party-styled costumes.

The sketch essentially makes fun of the shock and awe surrounding Bey’s video, sarcastically poking fun at the fact that people seemed surprised to see the singer own her blackness.

It’s a wonderful, perfect SNL response to the media frenzy.
