Out actress, Bex Taylor-Klaus is a star on the rise, and has now earned a role in Dumplin along side Danielle Macdonald and Jennifer Aniston.

Kristin Hahn wrote the screenplay, which based on Julie Murphy’s 2015 YA novel of the same title.

The plot follows Willowdean (played by Danielle Macdonald), nicknamed Dumplin, a confident, plus-sized teen who, to spite her beauty pageant queen mom (Jennifer Aniston), enlists in a local pageant.

What starts as an impulsive one-day protest snowballs as Will inadvertently becomes the inspiration for a ragtag group of teenage outcasts joining the pageant.

We suspect Bex will play one of Willowdean’s friends who also join the pageant.

The movie is currently filming in Georgia, so it probably won’t come out until late next year. Luke Benward, Maddie Baillio, and Ginger Minj will also appear in the film.
