The latest Australian business to film an ‘It Gets Better’ video is BT Financial Group. The video features inspirational and emotional stories from four LGBTI employees.

Other Australian-produced ‘It Gets Better’ videos include the team at Telstra, Optus, Macquarie Grammar School, the Red Cross Blood Service, Monash University, Triple J, and former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

“I went back for Christmas, with my partner for the first time. To see my family accept him as the same as my brother’s wife and my sister’s boyfriend was just a euphoric moment. I remember driving away with tears of happiness in my eyes.”

Along with the release of its video this week, BT is also asking all employees to Wear it Purple this Friday to support for LGBTI youth across Australia.

“This a special video message from our employees… who have shared their powerful stories in the hope that they will inspire LGBTI youth to feel supported and send the message that things really do get better.”
