Out Country Singer Brandy Clark Nominated for Two CMAs

Brandy Clark is an out lesbian and country music singer-songwriter making headlines. Her songs have been recorded by Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, Billy Currington, Darius Rucker and Kacey Musgraves. This week Clark got the great news that she’d scored not just one, but two nominations at this year’s Country Music Association Awards – Best New Artist and Best Song.

In addition to her second songwriter’s nomination with Kacey Musgraves and Shane McAnally for song of the year. Clark is one of the names hotly tipped for CMA’s new artist of the year award, thanks to 12 Stories, her widely-praised debut album.
