Demi Lovato Is Rumoured To Be Dating A Woman (And Twitter Is Losing Its Mind)

According to a recent twitter post by @Caroly6574, Demi Lovato was seen holding hands with a gorgeous brunette on an innocent trip to Disneyland in L.A.

However, the hand holding raised plenty eyebrows on social media, because the mystery brunette Lovato was spotted cozying up to is a lesbian, Lauren Abedini.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BJ4PihGgs1y/

According to the pictures snapped by the superfan, the two ladies weren’t “holding hands” in a “bestie” way, they’re definitely holding hands in a girlfriend way.

Back in 2015, many wondered whether Lovato ‘s song Cool for the Summer was a hint at her sexuality, with lyrics like

Don’t be scared cause I’m your body type/ Just something that we wanna try.”

Then, in an interview with comedian Alan Carr after the song came out, Lovato said all her songs are based on personal experiences, leading fans to wonder if Lovato was saying she has experimented with the same sex.

I’m not confirming, and I’m definitely not denying. All of my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with experimentation at all.”

Twitter has been pretty excited over the prospect of Lovato being in a new relationship.

Of course, nothing is confirmed, and it’s important not to speculate about Lovato’s love life. It’s also important to remember that Lovato doesn’t owe anyone an explanation about who she is or is not dating.

Lovato should feel free to do whatever she wants with whoever she wants without the pressure of explaining it.

Whether or not Lovato is dating Lauren, we’re just glad to see she’s having a good time at Disney.

Sarah Paulson Opens Up About Acting, And Dating Older Women

Last year, news broke American Horror actress Sarah Paulson, who was about to turn 41, was dating the actress Holland Taylor, who is 32 years her senior.

The online reaction was immediate and (rare for a celebrity dating story) almost entirely positive.

Paulson, for her part, found the sudden attention “surreal.”

In an interview with the New York Times, she says she tried to keep her distance from the hubbub but acknowledged,

My choices in romantic partners have not been conventional, and therefore the idea that it is ‘other’ makes it compelling.”

Before dating Taylor, Paulson was in a seven-year relationship with the actress Cherry Jones, who is 18 years older than she is. Before that, she dated men, including the actor and playwright Tracy Letts, who is nine years older and to whom she was engaged.

She never kept her same-sex relationships secret, but she has been wary of labelling her sexuality, for fear of being “skewered” should she change her dating habits later on.

If my life choices had to be predicated based on what was expected of me from a community on either side, that’s going to make me feel really straitjacketed, and I don’t want to feel that,” she said. “What I can say absolutely is that I am in love, and that person happens to be Holland Taylor.”

The women first met at a dinner party about a decade ago, when Paulson was still with Jones. Nevertheless, she thought that Taylor was “probably the most exquisitely beautiful woman I’d ever seen.”

They crossed paths again a few years later, when the actress Martha Plimpton asked both to record videos for her reproductive-rights organization, A Is For.

Paulson was filming American Horror Story: Asylum at the time, and Taylor was working on her one-woman play, Ann, about the former Texas governor Ann Richards.

After that, they followed each other on Twitter and exchanged direct messages before finally deciding to go out for dinner. They have now been together for a little more than a year.

Paulson said she had never seriously dated anyone her own age.

There’s a poignancy to being with someone older. I think there’s a greater appreciation of time and what you have together and what’s important, and it can make the little things seem very small. It puts a kind of sharp light mixed with a sort of diffused light on something. I can’t say it any other way than there’s a poignancy to it, and a heightened sense of time and the value of time.”

She has always gravitated toward her elders, she added, beginning in junior high school.

I had a complicated home life, and my teachers, predominantly my theatre teachers and my English teachers, were very dedicated to taking care of me in a particular way. And in doing so, I think I developed a very easy rapport with people older than myself.”

10. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi

The 41st Annual People's Choice Awards - Arrivals

Although rumors of divorce seem to always trouble Ellen and Portia, they still are the queen and queen of lesbian couples. They have been together since 2004 and tied the knot in 2008 – the equivalent of a 30-year marriage in celebrity years. They have both kept their successful careers going, and always seem to be incredibly psyched on each other.

11. Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner

Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner

Actress Lily Tomlin and writer Jane Wagner may have gotten legally married in 2013, but the pair met 44 years ago, in 1971.

In the 2012 book We Killed, legendary comic Tomlin told the story of how she’d wanted to come out about her relationship with writer Wagner at the height of the career in ’70s, but was told she couldn’t because it would ruin her career.

And then, after that, we had to go outside to the car, which was in front of the theatre. There was a huge audience, and when we got in the car, her fans were rocking the car back and forth. And the idea that somebody’s career could actually be ruined and that their lives could get ruined was astonishing. To go from that to ‘You can’t let out that you’re gay or they’ll hate you’ struck me.”

Forty years later, they are out and people still love Lily.

12. Lauren Blitzer and Chely Wright

Lauren Blitzer and Chely Wright

Another awesome married couple. Chely and Lauren met only two weeks after Chely came out of the closet in 2010, and they were married soon after. The now have twin sons and post loads of pictures of them on Twitter. Chely has been a great advocate for LGBT rights and did a documentary about her coming out story.

13. Leisha Hailey and Camila Grey

Leisha Hailey and Camila Grey

The band mates went public about their relationship in 2011 after they were discriminated against on a Southwest flight. They don’t talk much about their romantic relationship, but they did say in their statement, “We were simply being affectionate like any normal couple.” Just any normal hot couple.

14. Melissa Etheridge and Linda Wallem

Melissa Etheridge and Linda Wallem

The musician and TV writer were best friends for years before they took it to the next level and Melissa couldn’t be happier.

Finally through relationships and through my own growth process and understanding of my life and my own choices, here I am in a situation where I’m in a relationship with someone who I’ve been friends with for 10 years. We’ve got a track record of friendship-love to begin with. Then to bring that closer was just really natural and a beautiful thing. It’s the most supportive, healthy relationship I’ve ever been in, so I’m not surprised that my music is reflecting that.”

15. Lena Waithe and Alana Mayo

Lena Waithe and Alana Mayo

Producer, writer, and actress Lena Waithe may be on her way to being a household name, but the other half of this power couple is equally impressive. 31-year-old Alana Mayo is the VP of Production at Paramount and was named one of Hollywood’s Up-and-Coming Execs 35 and Under by The Hollywood Reporter. These two could take over the world together.

16. Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne

Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne

Comedian Tig Notaro and wife Stephanie Allynne quietly tied the knot in October. Notaro joked on Twitter: “I’m getting married today. My only fear is that instead of ‘I do’ I’ll say ‘I do do’.”

Netflix’s documentary, Tig, showcases their relationship, including Allynne supporting Notaro through her battle with breast cancer.

17. Rachel Maddow & Susan Mikula

Rachel Maddow & Susan Mikula

MSNBC Superstar Rachel Maddow and artist Susan Mikula have been together since 1999, when Maddow was hired to do yard work on Mikula’s Berkshires property. They now live together in a pre-Civil War farmhouse in western Massachusetts. Livin’ the dream much?

18. Amber Laign and Robin Roberts

Amber Laign and Robin Roberts

Amber Laign and Robin Roberts met while on a blind date. Robin Roberts came out publicly in 2013 over Facebook, and announced that she had been in a relationship with Laign since 2005.

19. Jenna Wolfe & Stephanie Gosk

Wolfe and Gosk (both NBC News correspondents) are some kind of NBC super couple. We’re not sure how they first met, but we’re guessing it was at some kind of super posh Olympics coverage party. We do know that they have two daughters, and are both pretty much rocking this power couple game.

20. Cynthia Nixon & Christine Marinoni

Cynthia Nixon & Christine Marinoni

Since finishing her run on Sex and the City, Cynthia Nixon has stuck to acting in short form pieces of fried gold like Alpha House and Hannibal, while her wife, Christine Marinoni, has been working as a special adviser for community partnerships in the Department of Education in New York. If a politician marrying a hot actress isn’t the definition of a power couple, then what is?

21. Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry

The Talk co-host Sara Gilbert and award-winning songwriter Linda Perry married in 2014 and still seem to be in their honeymoon phase – we dare you to find one photo in which they aren’t both smiling. However, 2015 was a big year for the couple. Gilbert gave birth to the couple’s son, Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry, back in February, and the duo released the children’s album Deer Sounds that features Rhodes.

22. Sarah Paulson & Holland Taylor

In December 2015, reports revealed that American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson was in a committed relationship with Two and a Half Men actress Holland Taylor. Before then, Taylor, who is 32 years older than Paulson, had admitted to being in a serious relationship with a woman, although she wouldn’t say who it was.

8 Pioneering Women Who Spoke Out On Being Bisexual

One of the reasons that many people choose to hide their sexuality is a fear of rejection from society. However, there have been many women who helped to pave the way for those who fear the unknown.

These women come from all walks of life and many embody the principles that we should strive for – read on to find some of the famous bisexual women, from the present time as well as history.

Christina Aguilera, musician

Christina Aguilera

Maybe I’ve got a soft spot for Christina Aguilera because she’s the epitome of “my type”, but she’s a strong advocate for the gay community as well as women in general. This is in addition to her incredible music career, which skyrocketed after her first hit, “Genie in a Bottle”, which was the best-selling single of 1999. (Probably unrelated, but that was about the time I realized I was interested in women
 I’m sure that’s just a coincidence!)

She has not come out publicly as a bisexual, but she has admitted that she loves kissing women, and she finds it much sexier to look at a woman than to look at a man. (Hey, who can argue with that?)

Drew Barrymore, actress

Drew Barrymore 01

If you’re a fan of American movies, it’s likely that you’re familiar with Drew Barrymore. She has appeared in around 30 movies and many commercials, going as far back as 1976. However, for a great deal of her career, her bisexuality was kept private. She didn’t publicly come out as a bisexual woman until 2003.

She hasn’t gone out of her way to present herself as a good role model for bisexuals, but her acting ability and willingness to overcome obstacles in her life make her a testament to the success that can be had by bisexual women.

Marlene Dietrich, actress

marlena

Marlene Dietrich was an out bisexual actress who was active in the 1920s and ‘30s. She and her director husband had an open marriage, which allowed her to explore her interests in other men as well as women. She was also one of the first entertainers for the troops in WWII.

She found that her androgynous look was beneficial to her in appealing to men and women, and she used this to her advantage. In fact, in one of her movies from the 1930s, she wears a tuxedo and kisses a woman – which is almost unheard of from that time period.

Ani DiFranco, musician

Ani DiFranco

I have been a pretty big fan of Ani DiFranco for years, although admittedly I’m not familiar with too many of her songs. I actually read about her in one of my favorite books, which prompted me to look into her music – and I was instantly hooked.

She has never been particularly private about her love of men and women, although she’s not in-your-face about it, either. If you haven’t heard any of her music, and you’re interested in folk/independent music, I’d definitely recommend checking her out. Many of her songs are political in nature, some more subtly than others.

Nelly Furtado, musician

Nelly Furtado

Nelly Furtado came out publicly as a bisexual in an interview with GUS magazine. She didn’t admit to any actual relationships with women, but she did reveal that she feels that all people are inherently bisexual.

She rose to fame in 2000 and has stayed at least somewhat in the spotlight ever since. She loves her gay and lesbian fans, and she dreams of having her own gay pride float, according to Canada.com.

Frida Kahlo, artist

Frida Kahlo

Fans of the art world are likely familiar with Frida Kahlo. The wife of fellow artist Diego Rivera, Frida was an avid feminist, and a reported lover of women.

In fact, it’s been said that she even slept with some of her husband’s mistresses! She was also known to dress in drag, appearing in a family portrait in full men’s attire.

Audre Lorde, writer

Audre Lorde

Audre Lorde was many things, most of which revolving around her love for the written word. She has been quoted as saying, “Words had an energy and power and I came to respect that power early.” These are particularly strong words as a self-made woman of color.

She was married to a man and had two children, but they were divorced in 1970. Soon after, she met her first long-term partner, Frances Clayton. She went on to inspire many women with her words until passing away from cancer in 1992.

Eleanor Roosevelt, former First Lady of the United States

Among those on this list that may surprise you, the wife of former United States president FDR is probably close to the top of your list. Although Eleanor Roosevelt never came out publicly, and it’s difficult to determine someone’s sexuality after their passing, there have been made public love letters between her and journalist Lorena Hickok.

Unfortunately, many of these letters were destroyed by Eleanor’s family and even Lorena herself, but those that entered the public light make it quite apparent that they were, at least, very intimate friends.

The Secret Is Out: Holland Tayor And AHS’ Sarah Paulson Are Dating

Well here’s an adorable May-December romance you might not have seen coming!Thank you Entertainment Tonight for doing your homework on this one and cracking the twitter code.

A few days ago, Holland Taylor confirmed she was dating a woman, and the grapevine wasted no time in identifying her bae as fellow actress Sarah Paulson of American Horror Story and Carol fame.
carol-sarah-holland-683x1024

Taylor, hinted that she was dating a younger gal in an interview with WNYC’s Death, Sex & Moneypodcast, joking,

There’s a very big age difference between us which I’m sure shocks a lot of people, and it startles me. But as they say, ‘If she dies, she dies.'”

425_sarah_paulson_holland_taylor_493589358

According to Entertainment Tonight, the thespian couple has been dating for four months, more or less in plain sight if you noticed their series of incredibly charming tweets to one another.

Paulson, 40, is no stranger to a May-December romance, having dated actress Cherry Jones, some nineteen years her senior. Boom!

11 Famous Lesbians Who Inspire Us Every Day

Sometimes, when faced with the difficult task of coming out, we rely on the stories of other women who have found success even after being identified as lesbians.

It can be reassuring to know that we’re in good company, and we truly are.

There are many women in Hollywood and in history who have had success despite the oppositions they faced for loving other women.

Read on to find some of our top choices for influential lesbian role models.

Ellen DeGeneres, comedian

gty_ellen_degeneres_portia_de_rossi_mt_141017_16x9_992

Of course Ellen DeGeneres would make our list. She’s often considered the collective “mother” to the lesbian community, and for good reason – she was one of the first big Hollywood names to openly come out as a lesbian.

Although many of Ellen’s fans are in the gay community, she doesn’t market herself “exclusively” to lesbians, and in fact she sees a strong following of gay, straight, and bisexual fans. She actually publicly said that she “never wanted to be a spokesperson for the gay community” – which is in part why she is so admired.

She didn’t come out in hopes of being a role model – it just happened.

Jane Addams, social worker

Jane Addams, social worker

You might not have heard of Jane Addams before, but she’s one of the pioneers of social work. She was born in 1860 and she found the Hull House in Chicago. Although the word “lesbian” wasn’t actually coined until 1890 and she wouldn’t have chosen to refer to herself as a lesbian, an analysis of her life would show that she would have fit the description by today’s standards.

Jane had a tough background that helped to make her relatable to others, and helped to define her interest in doing good. After all, those with the harshest pasts are often the ones who seek to make the brightest futures for others.

Jamie Babbitt, director

Jamie Babbitt, director

Jamie Babbitt is one of the lesser visible lesbians in Hollywood. She is a director who has been out for the entirety of her career, and she doesn’t shy away from making “typically” lesbian films. In fact, she’s the director of one of my personal favorites – But I’m a Cheerleader!

She likes to have mainly-women crews on her movies, and one in particular (Itty Bitty Titty Committee) had an entirely female crew. Her feminist and lesbian-positive outlooks make her a prime role model of what a lesbian can achieve.

Alison Bechdel, writer

Alison Bechdel, writer

As a writer myself, I find it fascinating to discover other famous lesbian writers. Alison Bechdel chronicles the life of lesbians in her comic strip, “Dykes to Watch Out For”, as well as her graphic memoir, “Fun Home”. She explores some deep issues through her comics and she helps to inspire those with similar experiences.

Gladys Bentley, blues singer

Gladys Bentley, blues singer

Gladys Bentley was a pioneer in lesbian visibility before it was cool. In the 1920s, she rose to fame by rewriting popular songs with dirty lyrics, and openly flirted with women in her audiences. At that time in American history, it was enough to be a butch lesbian – never mind the fact that she was a lesbian of color who had a very public relationship with a white woman.

Later in life, she claimed to have “cured” her lesbianism by taking female hormones and married a man. The man denied it, and the science behind her claims of “going straight” just isn’t there. Still, for a large portion of her life, she represented a willingness to be completely true to yourself and to put love first.

Michelle Bonilla, actress

Michelle Bonilla, actress

Michelle Bonilla certainly isn’t one of the “big names” in American television, but she has had some pretty big roles. You might recognize her from her roles in E.R., Star Trek: Enterprise, or even Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. She admits that being out wasn’t even a conscious decision for her – it just sort of happened.

I was posed a question, are you gay? And why was I going to lie?”

It’s always reassuring to hear of people who don’t worry about “coming out”, but rather just being themselves. In a perfect world, everyone would just be free to be who they are.

Sara Gilbert, actress

Okay, I admit – Sara Gilbert made this list because I have a giant crush on her. I think I always have, actually, ever since her early days as Darlene on Roseanne (1988-1997). Of course, back then she was just “a tomboy” – but she has since come out as a lesbian. She supports a great deal of causes, including many animal rights organizations, and she is a vegetarian.

Barbara Gittings, activist

Barbara Gittings, activist

There aren’t too many people that have become famous based on their activism, but in some ways Barbara Gittings could be compared to the Martin Luther King, Jr. of gay rights. In the 1950s and ‘60s, she was a huge supporter of anti-discrimination legislation that would have put an end to workplace discrimination for homosexuals. She also helped to found her local chapter of the Daughters of Bilitis (a lesbian social organization). She was a proud lesbian woman who felt that homosexuals should be judged for reasons beyond their sexuality. It’s a bit sad that we’re still fighting that battle 50 years later, but Barbara helped pave the way.

Gertrude Stein, writer

Gertrude Stein, writer

Gertrude Stein wasn’t exactly out of the closet while she was alive, but letters published after her death indicated that she had a lifelong relationship with Alice B. Toklas, which she referred to as a marriage. She was a well-received writer who even mentored some of the “greats”, like Sherwood Anderson and Ernest Hemingway. She continued writing and teaching until her death in 1946. In 1967, Alice was buried next to her – a testament to lifelong love. (Aww!)

Ellen Page, actress

ellen-page-436

When Ellen Page came out as a lesbian in 2014, there were many of us in the lesbian community who really weren’t all that shocked. But the fact that, in 2014, she still felt the need to come out publicly says a lot about the invisibility that we still face every day.

Her brave “coming out” speech was inspirational for many teenagers and young adults, and it paved the way for even more in Hollywood to come out. (Plus, if you haven’t heard her coming out speech, it’s pretty incredible.)

Sally Ride, astronaut

Sally Ride, astronaut

For any girl who grew up desiring to go to space, Sally Ride made that a real possibility. She was the first American woman in space, and she paved the way for many girls to grow up loving the sciences. Her life partner, Tam O’Shaughnessy, accepted the Presidential Medal of Freedom on her behalf after her death in 2012.

It was not widely known that she was a lesbian before her death, but her family said she made no attempts to hide her relationship with Tam amongst her private circle.

Watch Margaret Cho Grills Raven-SymonĂ© On The View: ‘Why Don’t You Have Girlfriend?’

Margaret Cho was back on the view this week, and she didn’t fail to deliver.

In the Hot Topic segment, Cho was asked about president Obama covering Out Magazine this week.

But Raven-Symoné was quick to highlight she too, was in the issue as well.

This was acknowledge by Cho, but she was quick to ask Symoné about her relationship status. Watch below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIaUp29_xmA

Cho has been making ripples lately with her new song about rape – I Want to Kill My Rapist.

In the video, Cho and a band of 20 young girls, all armed, chase after a rapist to exact their revenge.

I’ve had it with rape. I don’t want the younger generation to grow up with it. I want to be really proactive – and aggressively angry – about the way women’s bodies have been used as public space since the beginning of time.”

A survivor of abuse, Cho had her shoulder-length dark hair shaved off for the video.

Margaret Cho

Cho is famed for her boldness, her taboo-breaking political humour.

The comedian is currently touring the globe with her stand-up show psyCHO, she also grabbed headlines earlier this year for appearing at the Golden Globe awards dressed as a North Korean dictator.

Although Cho (whose previous musical effort, Cho Dependent, was nominated for a comedy album Grammy) is performing the new song and a few others as part of the show, she insists her goal is not just to shock and amuse.

She says she wants to make beautiful music, too, in the form of songs that resonate with the politics of the time.

Another, called Fat Pussy, is all about being positive about your body, and is only mildly less shocking.

“Nothin’ better, nothin’ wetter,” she sings, and we have to agree with that.

St. Vincent Discuses Her ‘Public’ Relationship With GF Cara Delevingne

Harper’s Bazaar is looking to highlight this year’s ‘boldest, bravest, most fearless females out there’.

Not only did they find them, but they gathered them in one place: the annual Daring issue.

Topping this years list was Grammy-winning Annie Clark better known by her stage name St. Vincent, along with Serena Williams, and actress Julianne Moore.

Shot by Ben Hasset, wearing a jacket, shirt, and pants by Alexander McQueen, St. Vincent discussed her relationship with Cara Delevingne putting her more into the public eye:

St-Vincent-01

There’s been a little bit of enigma peeled back as of late.  But I have a rich life that has nothing to do with the flim-flam.”

St-Vincent-02

She continued:

I know there’s a through-the-looking-glass version of myself, and I don’t feel particularly attached to that version, especially as it pertains to the public eye – it’s kind of removed from my actual life. The long and short of it is that what people think of me is none of my business.”

Cara Delevingne Admits to Being a ‘Hopeless Romantic’ on Nick Grimshaw Show

Cara Delevingne – whose film credits now include Paper Towns and the comic book movie Suicide Squad – was a guest on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio One breakfast show.

cara-nick-01

In the interview the 22-year-old star confessed she is a major romantic soul and has even serenaded (yep – serenaded) old flames in the past.

I’m a hopeless romantic. I’ve done some outwardly romantic gestures. I’ve written songs for people, serenaded people with poems.”

However, sadly Cara – who is dating musician St Vincent – is still waiting for the gesture to be returned admitting that she’s never the one in receipt of the aforementioned serenades:

Cara-Delevingne-and-St-Vincent

I think it’s always better to wait until someone does it to you. Because, to be honest, I don’t think someone’s done something super romantic for me.”

St Vincent, it’s over to you!

Cara Delevingne Debuts Pink Hair As She Supports Girlfriend Gig in Montreal

Cara Delevingne sported bubblegum pink hair as she supported girlfriend St Vincent at a music festival in Montreal over the weekend.

But it turns out the actress was only wearing a wig, which she teamed with a bandana, as she was joined by Suicide Squad co-stars Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman and Jay Hernandez.

https://instagram.com/p/56t4mDjKFD/

Delevingne plays Enchantress in the DC Comics movie, which sees imprisoned supervillains being recruited by a secret government agency to perform dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency.

Delevingne recently made headlines around the world after an excruciatingly awkward TV interview on US breakfast television, as she promoted the upcoming movie adaptation of John Green’s Paper Towns.

Over the weekend, the star posted an image on Instagram of her reading the young adult novel, poking fun at any suggestions that she hasn’t read the book.

https://instagram.com/p/50dQvYDKOb

She and St. Vincent – real name Annie Clark – have been dating for around five months.

cara-annie-01

Being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. For those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”

Paper Towns is out now in the US, and will open August 17 in the UK.

Why Cara Delevingne Epic Early Morning Interview Just Made Our Day (Video)

On thing we love is realism. Not everyone is chipper in the morning. In fact the morning after night before is the worst feeling ever.

Enter bisexual model-turned-actor, Cara Delevingne and her latest interview with Good Day Sacramento TV’s trio – Marianne McClary, Ken Rudulph and Mark S Allen.

Cara appeared on the early morning show after the New York premiere of Paper Towns – the movie adaptation of the John Green novel – and found her interview cut short because of her tone.

The interview didn’t get off to a great start when the programme’s anchor appeared to call her ‘Carla’ – pretty dumb move seeing she is arguably one of the most recognisable faces and names in the entertainment industry today.

The next few minutes when they tried to get a bit of information out of the blonde beauty were fairly painful.

When asked if she’d read the novel or if she could possibly squeeze it into her hectic schedule, Cara tried to smack on a fake smile but the sarcasm was clear as day.

Uh, no I never read the book, or the script. I kind of winged it.”

The comment fell on deaf ears. I guess, it turns out there are still some big differences between British and American humour.

So she informs them in very deadpan voice that John Green was one of her favourite novelists.

She is then accused of not being “excited” about promoting the film, before she’s advised to “take a nap or have a Red Bull”.

The when anchor Marianne McClary asked her if she was irritated or if it was the fault of the show, Delevingne replied, ‘No, I think it’s just you.

Love it.

Her parents seem to think girls are just a phase for Cara, and they may be correct.”

In response, an online petition was set up, calling for the magazine to apologise. The petition received than 20,000 signatures.

However, she also added that while she was flattered by the show of support online, she was sure the article was “nothing malicious”.

On learning to block out her life’s distractions, she said:

Being in love helps, you know? If you’re in love with someone, you can be with them like no one else is in the room. Acting is like that. It’s like taking that feeling and turning it on so nothing else matters when you’re looking in another actor’s face.”

Delevingne recently called out Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott for opposing same-sex marriage – at the Australian premiùre of Paper Towns.

Tony Abbott, you better listen to the rest of the world and carry on. Go with it.”

I’ve been pretty open about myself from the beginning.”

Ireland recently voted yes in a same-sex marriage referendum and the US introduced same-sex marriage too, but Cara encouraged Australia’s prime minister to follow suit.

Australian Prime Minster Tony Abbott is a staunch opponent of equal marriage, but is facing pressure to allow his MPs a free vote on a cross-party marriage bill, following progress in Ireland and the United States.

Delevingne, who is in a same-sex relationship with musician St Vincent, spoke about her new relationship and sexual preference in a recent interview with Vogue.

It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it. I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”

Vogue Magazine Criticised For Suggesting Cara Delevingne’s Sexuality is Just a “Phase”

The Cara Delevingne has previously avoided discussing her relationships, but in an interview with Vogue, she opened up about struggling with her sexuality while growing up.

However, while the article carried a positive message, it contained the line:

Her parents seem to think girls are just a phase for Cara, and they may be correct.”

The magazine is now the subject of a petition which calls for an apology.

The author of the petition ulie Rodriguez writes;

As a bisexual woman myself, I’ve experienced hurtful comments like this many times. People are quick to assume queer women’s identities are a ‘phase’ and to refuse to recognise the important relationships in their lives — an attitude which can cause depression, result in families rejecting their daughters and even put young women at risk of suicide.

Vogue should have taken this opportunity to combat negative stereotypes, not reinforce them. We should be applauding Cara for coming out as queer, and being open about her relationships with men and women.”

Delevingne is considered the ‘it’ girl of our time. She appears in ad campaigns, music videos, and movies. The tabloid’s love her, we love her and fans love her. And the fact that she’s in a relationship with a woman and proud is great.

Cara Delevingne Opens Up About Sexuality & Her Girlfriend in Vogue’s July Issue

Cara Delevingne is the ‘it’ girl of our time. She appears in ad campaigns, music videos, and movies. The tabloid’s love her, we love her and fans love her. And the fact that she’s in a relationship with a woman and proud of it has been the least focused-on part of her career thus far.

cara-delevingne-july-2015-cover

In the July issue of Vogue, the 22-year-old speaks candidly about her sexuality and how she’s in lover with her girlfriend St Vincent (aka Annie Clark).

She admitted:

I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”

We couldn’t be happier for her, especially considering the long road, which led to this moment in her life.

When first coming to terms with her sexuality, she revealed:

It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it. But I have erotic dreams only about men. I had one two nights ago where I went up to a guy in the back of a VW minivan, with a bunch of his friends around him, and pretty much jumped him
The thing is, if I ever found a guy I could fall in love with, I’d want to marry him and have his children. And that scares me to death because I think I’m a whole bunch of crazy, and I always worry that a guy will walk away once he really, truly knows me.”

Pyrrhic victory!!!!!!

A photo posted by St. Vincent (@st_vincent) on

Cara doesn’t just open up about her love life though, as she also confesses about issues with partying, modelling, and struggle with depression.

On the difference between modeling and acting:

The thrill of acting is making a character real. Modeling is the opposite of real. It’s being fake in front of the camera.”

On wanting to leave the modeling world:

I’m not sure I understand what fashion is anymore. I admit I was terrified to leave. I mean, the bubble gives you a kind of dysfunctional family. When you’re in it, you get it. And the second you’re out of it, you’re like, What the hell just happened?”

cara-delevingne-july-2015-01

On her mom’s struggle with heroine addiction:

It shapes the childhood of every kid whose parent has an addiction. You grow up too quickly because you’re parenting your parents. My mother’s an amazingly strong person with a huge heart, and I adore her. But it’s not something you get better from, I don’t think. I know there are people who have stopped and are fine now, but not in my circumstance. She’s still struggling.”

On suffering from depression as a teen:

This is something I haven’t been open about, but it’s a huge part of who I am. All of a sudden I was hit with a massive wave of depression and anxiety and self-hatred, where the feelings were so painful that I would slam my head against a tree to try to knock myself out. I never cut, but I’d scratch myself to the point of bleeding. I just wanted to dematerialize and have someone sweep me away.”

And she continued, sharing:

I smoked a lot of pot as a teenager, but I was completely mental with or without drugs. I thought that if I wanted to act, I’d need to finish school, but I got so I couldn’t wake up in the morning. The worst thing was that I knew I was a lucky girl, and the fact that you would rather be dead . . . you just feel so guilty for those feelings, and it’s this vicious circle. Like, how dare I feel that way? So you just attack yourself some more.”

Which lead to her low point. Cara explained:

Full-on bubble. I was packing my bags, and suddenly I just wanted to end it. I had a way, and it was right there in front of me. And I was like, I need to decide whether I love myself as much as I love the idea of death.” And then a song started playing on her laptop, Outkast’s SpottieOttieDopaliscious, which had been played at the funeral of a friend who had recently died of a heroin overdose. “It felt like a warning from him. And it made me so furious with myself.”

No one can ever say she’s had it easy. She’s gone through so much, but at least has the support of so many good friends.

Ruby Rose: “It Did My Head in for Years to be Described as a ‘Lesbian Model’ (and) ‘a Lesbian Actress’.”

There is more to Ruby Rose than her ‘Celesbian’ Status.

Talking to Net-a-porter.com’s digital magazine The Edit, Ruby Rose – who set to shine in season 3 of Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black – slammed the title she’s often given — “celesbian’’.

God, I hate that word. It did my head in for years to be described as a ‘lesbian model’ (and) ‘a lesbian actress’ but if they do that for the rest of my career, and it means the next generation doesn’t have to have their sexuality listed as part of their job description, then I’m happy with that.”

However, her newfound fame in the US means she has met and often mingles with various Hollywood types, which is has provided her comfort in a world where some gay people still live in fear.

(The group) is so supportive. When I grew up I thought I was the only person like me in the whole world and I would never have a support system

Now it’s like every lesbian I ever looked up to is my best friend.”

Her new posse includes fiancée Phoebe Dahl, actress Evan Rachel Wood and actress Ellen Page.

Did Cara Delevingne and girlfriend Annie Clark get engaged?

Oh how celebrities enjoy tormenting us mere mortals via their social media accounts!

Cara Delevingne and her girlfriend Annie Clark have sparked rumours of an engagement.

Yesterday, Annie Clark, aka musician St. Vincent, posted a cryptic Instagram after hanging with Stella McCartney’s model squad at the designer’s Resort 2016 presentation.

She captioned the snap: “Ok
”

Ok…

A photo posted by St. Vincent (@st_vincent) on

Fans of the couple – who’ve been dating since earlier this year – went crazy, begging the pair to tell them if the rumours were true.

Neither Cara or Annie have commented on the speculation.

However, upon further analysis, it appears that the writing could indeed be Cara’s. Here’s a survey she filled out and that someone uploaded to Pinterest. We’re no professional handwriting analysts, but the similarities are not non-existent. There’s also zero reason to think that just because the handwriting is Cara’s that they’re definitely getting married, especially with THAT caption.

But, before we all go rushing out to buy our wedding hats (because we’d totally be invited) it’s worth remembering that ‘Marry Me’ is also the title to St Vincent’s debut album and we may just be getting ahead of ourselves here.

BFFs Cara Delevingne and ZoĂ« Kravitz Just Made the Craziest Rom-Com Film Ever – Must watch

Because we CANNES! Zoe vs Zoe @zoeisabellakravitz @pgdm #idbangher #excusethepun   A video posted by Cara Delevingne (@caradelevingne) on

This Instagram video is a bit of a mind f*ck in that we don’t have the slightest idea of what’s happening. But basically, here’s the plot.

  1. Cara urges Zoë to tell Jimmy she loves him. (Jimmy is a guy with white-blond hair and horrible taste.)
  2. Enter Zoë’s clone who has the confidence to give this guy her number.
  3. Zoë watches so she can see what would happen if she professed her love.
  4. But the guy is not into her at all.
  5. Cara and some other dude think she’s really hot though.
  6. Zoë’s thinks that ZoĂ« (herself and her competition) is gross.

We get it: it’s an art film. The film doesn’t concern itself with logic so we can’t really follow it. Instead, we must abandon disbelief as we watch one ZoĂ« accept defeat and agree that the other ZoĂ« is horrible. The best tack is to just draw your own conclusion.

Gossip Alert | Which Out It Girl’s Relationship May Be On The Rocks?

It’s easy to be all cozy and coupled up in the winter, but now that spring fever has set in, many couples in Hollywood are finding it a lot harder to stay oh so in love.

Rumours have been flying the past few weeks that Cara Delevingne fling with rocker St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) is on the rocks.

The model and now actress took to Twitter to curb the rumours – tweeting that she’s “very much in love.”

But sources at Star are telling us a verrrrrry different story

The relationship is a constant roller coaster that’s more of a partying partnership than a love affair. It’s always the same story with Cara–her romances are hot and sexual, then turn into a slippery slope of too much partying that leads to nonstop fighting.”

Hmmm… We had always assumed that dating the ever-in-demand Delevingne was pretty much like this. She doesn’t exactly seem the type to stay home baking pies and giving foot rubs.

Hello – did you see her at the Met Gala??

But for now, St. V seems to be OK with Cara’s antics.

They’ve patched things up. but it’s a toxic relationship that no one thinks will last.”

Did we think it would – Cara is in young and St. V is in her 30s, so we wouldn’t be shocked if she was looking for something a bit more stable, would you?

Cara Delevingne: ‘I Do Love A Chase’

Cara Delevingne is usually associated with prominent eyebrows, goofy facial expressions and brazen nudity from many of her photo shoots.

She is also linked to a string of famous romances with a wide array of music and film stars including Fast and the Furious actor Michelle Rodriguez, and now an on-again, off-again romance with 32-year-old American singer songwriter St Vincent.

In the past, Cara normally stays pretty coy on the subject but in a new interview with website News.com.au she has revealed that when dating she fancies herself as a “bit of a predator.”

I’m someone who loves to chase; I’m a bit of a predator but not in a weird way. But I do love a chase and I also love to be chased. It depends on how your chemistry works.”

It was first reported that Cara and musician St.Vincent, were together after they were spotted together at a BRIT Awards party in February, although it is thought that they had started dating in secret long before that. More recently the pair attended the star-studded Burberry party in LA together spending the entire evening at each other’s sides.

Recently the model is refuting claims she and St Vincent (whose real name is Anne ‘Annie’ Clark) have split stating “I am very much in love” she stated on Twitter.

As well as opening up about her love life, Cara also talked about her very successful career. Despite being one of the most high-profile models in the world, she revealed that she never saw herself on the catwalk.

Cara-Delevingne-Kim-Kardashian

I never thought I’d be a model. I never wanted to be a model and I never thought people would actually want me to be a model. I was a feral kid, a big tomboy. Beauty wasn’t important at all and it still isn’t in a way.”

Though she’s been modelling professionally since the age of ten and currently holds the prestigious title as brand ambassador of Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent Beaute, and TAG Heuer, the 22-year-old star remains uncomfortable looking at these larger-than-life images.

Cara also revealed that she is a huge yoga fan, crediting the practise with helping her beat some of her demons. Admitting that she feels she had made a lot of mistakes in her life the model said:

Yoga saved my life, as did meditation. Before I found yoga I didn’t know how to be by myself or how to say no to people. I was very much a people pleaser. I never actually knew what I wanted in life until I discovered yoga and the importance of taking time for oneself. It really taught me how to connect to myself emotionally and how to love myself.”

Cara Delevingne Cryptic Instagram Posts

Cara Delevingne was thought to have been happily loved-up with her girlfriend, St. Vincent, but she has caused worry among her fans on social media, thanks to a series of cryptic and heartbreak-related posts shared over the past few days.

The couple were seen jetting out of Los Angeles International Airport together, looking as happy as ever while Cara wore a coat belonging to St. Vincent, whose real name is Anne ‘Annie’ Clark.

But the British model’s latest posts on Instagram have sparked concern among her fans. On Monday, the beauty shared a very sad picture of a crying stick figure drawing holding a broken heart, along with the words ‘it’s hurting again’. This was followed by a quote from the poet Rumi, that gave more than a hint at her potential love life situation.

Her cryptic posts caused her millions of fans to respond in their droves, offering her support and wishing her well, with some event acknowledging that she had perhaps ended her relationship with the Grammy winning singer.

Yahoo then reported that Delevingne had real, heartfelt emotions for Annie Clark and that she had been truly gutted to have dumped her.

But with all social media romances true love wins through, and Delevingne posted to her twitter account confirmation of her love.

Queen Latifah Discusses Racial Profiling and Her Journey to Sucess

Queen Latifah and Keke Palmer have joined forces for the new film Brotherly Love. The family-centric film explores the lives of several Philadelphia residents as they pursue their dreams and deal with harsh reality.

BET sat with Latifah, who produced the film, and Palmer, who stars, to talk about their mentor-protege relationship, the sacrifices each made to get where they are, and about a particular scene in the film — in which a Black kid is harassed by a white cop — that rings tragically true in the wake of so many instances of police brutality splashed across headlines.

On that last topic, Latifah had a lot to share.

As a daughter of a police officer, I knew more stories of things happening in the right way rather than the wrong way, but you don’t really hear those stories.”

Palmer adds that the film aims to “humanise” the young Black men so often perceived to be a threat by law enforcement and vigilantes.

The multi-talented music icon hopes the film will help put things in perspective when it comes to cops pulling guns on teenagers. “We have to see kids as kids, not as big, scary adult men,” she says.

Brotherly Love is out in theatres on April 24.

Who are we talking about? The now inseparable, Alicia Cargile and gal pal Kristen Stewart.

One of Aussie TV’s Most Loved Television Presenters has Come Out as Gay

Faustina “Fuzzy” Agolley is one of Aussie TV’s most loved television presenters, and as part of her 31st birthday celebrations, the former model has publicly come out as gay.

Fuzzy made it big in Australia, hosting most watched music program Video Hits on Network Ten. It was a job that took her all over the world to interview music’s biggest entertainers including the Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Adele, Green Day, Rihanna, and Sinead O’Connor.

She made the revelation in a blog post entitled I’m gay, which was published today.

As a child I always knew I was gay, but somewhere the feeling got lost. A long and, not always scenic, route ensued to bring me back to who I truly am.”

She attributed her decision to come out to meeting a “tribe” of women whom she could connect to.

For the first time in my life I came to the full realisation of who I am and I felt safe in their company. They bolstered my confidence and gave me my voice again. And I love them eternally for it.”

Fuzzy – whose father is from Ghana and mother is Chinese-Malaysian – went on to conclude by posting to her Instagram account these powerful words:

As black as my skin, as Chinese as my blood, and as Australian and British are my nationalities, I’m also a proud gay woman. Most importantly though, I’m a happy human being.”

And tonight, to coincide with my birthday, I’m celebrating with friends over Rainbow Cake. It’s the Elton John of cakes, complete with rainbow flares.

As a child I always knew I was gay, but somewhere the feeling got lost. A long and, not always scenic, route ensued to bring me back to who I truly am.

What I needed was to find my tribe. I wasn’t actively seeking it, though sometime last year I met a group of women that I could truly connect to. I could see myself in them in many ways. And they are women of character who I aspire to. Most importantly, they are women that are generous and kind. For the first time in my life I came to the full realisation of who I am and I felt safe in their company. They bolstered my confidence and gave me my voice again. And I love them eternally for it.

Thankfully my tribe has now extended to my family and friends that I’ve had the confidence to come out to. We’ve created noise, a celebratory noise. We’ve drowned out the negativity that sadly weaves through many homes, communities, governments and countries throughout the world.

In life, philosophy and literature imparts one of the greatest lessons we continuously come back to, and that is to know thyself. For those reading this who are LGBT and haven’t come out – even when society may not deem you equal because of your sexuality – know that you are. And just like in my situation, know that there are people in the world that have your back.

Some may be asking “Why does she feel the need to write this?”. The answer is that there is nothing I’m leveraging off or deliberately seeking. This simply feels like the right and natural way to let it be known, sincerely.

As black as my skin, as Chinese as my blood, and as Australian and British are my nationalities, I’m also a proud Gay Woman.

Most importantly though, I’m a happy human being.

Love,

Faustina Agolley
