Kitsch Mix has been a part of your family for 18 months now, and in that time we’ve noticed a lot.

2 years ago, we formed to fill a big gaping hole in the LGBT community – that lack of real lesbian visibility in media. So often we compete in a very male dominated LGBT market. We share that space, but we seldom own it.

We looked to change this, and for the last year our ever-growing team has worked hard to re-shape this landscape and offer you something new.

As an independent brand, owned and run by women, we are looking to build a community that other women can benefit from, and feel part of. We’ve done this through this website, and our TV channel, but now we’re moving into a new arena: Fashion.

Enter Kitsch Kandy, a web store that aims to cater for those whose style and personality does not conform to the traditional thoughts of society – women and femininity, males and masculinity.

We offer both home furnishings and fashion items that are aimed perfectly at lesbians and others in “marginalized” groups. While these gift items don’t scream “super gay”, they are designed to make you feel more comfortable in your own skin – whatever that means for you.

We believe that style and fashion are not always the same – and if we had to choose, we’d pick style every time. We believe that your personal style should be a reflection of your inner self, as opposed to covering it up. And we believe that a designer doesn’t have to be well-known to be wonderful.

That’s why, each month, we’ll hand-select a designer that caters to our community – offering you options that don’t feel like settling. We strive to turn your shopping trip into an all-out experience – something you’ll look forward to and tell all your friends about.

We want to help you write your own story – one that doesn’t conform to society’s rules of what you should or shouldn’t dress like.
