Anna Richardson, the presenter of Secret Eaters has revealed that she and Sue Perkins are in a relationship, resulting in the pair trending around the world on social media.

Speaking on the daytime TV show, she said:

We’ve known each other for a few years, we’ve got mutual friends – you know what it’s like in TV, you tend to know people. I was with my boyfriend for nearly 20 years and I’ve known Sue on the circuit, but about a year and a half ago we met at a party and I was recently single and we just… all I can say, there was an understanding between us and for me the planets aligned and I just thought, ‘This person’ – it’s not even about a woman – ‘this person is absolutely extraordinary’.”

Continuing she said:

People become obsessed with sex and just want to know, ‘What is it you do in bed?’… It’s not about that, it’s about the person and it’s about the connection with that person.”

Sue Perkins is a popular TV presenter in UK, who has spent much of her career out of the closet. She is best known for working with Mel Giedroyc on the BBC’s ‘Great British Bake Off’, but the pair will soon be presenting a new daytime chat show for rival TV company, ITV.
