Ingrid Nilsen On Coming Out One Year Later (Video)

Last year, in an emotional, 19-minute video, Ingrid Nilsen came out to millions – explaining how she had denied her sexuality even to herself for a long time.

Last year, we brought you our top 10 list of out women who ‘totally rocked’ 2014, but this year we’re switching it up a bit as so many famous ladies found the courage to start living their truths (or 2015 was just the year that they spoke about their identities to the media) that we couldn’t help but celebrate!

Our hearts have swelled and we may have shed a few tears or so finding out that yes, celebrities are just like us. So without further ado, here’s our list of 10 famous women who came out during 2015.

1. Holland Taylor

If you’re up to date on queer media then you’ll probably know Holland Taylor as Peggy Peabody in The L Word or as Mrs. Petrie in D.E.B.S, but if you’ve spent any time on the Internet in the last few weeks then you’ll know her from the media’s headlines.

During an interview with WYNC’s Death, Sex and Money podcast, Taylor explained that “I haven’t come out because I am out, I live out” and that she’s in her ‘first-ever deeply committed relationship’.

Calling the relationship “the most wonderful extraordinary thing that could have ever possibly happened in my life”, Taylor didn’t reveal her partner’s identity during the podcast but following Internet speculation, it was soon confirmed that her girlfriend is the one and only Sarah Paulson.

Kristen Stewart is best known to heterosexuals for her role as Bella Swan in the Twilight movie franchise but she’s (probably) best known to the rest of us as the woman of our dreams. Indeed, after photos of her out and about with her ‘gal pal’ Alicia Cargile began to do the rounds, many began to ask whether or not Kristen Stewart is actually not-heterosexual.

After her mother appeared to out her, confirming the relationship between the two women, the actresses interview with NYLON was published. In it, she explained that

I don’t feel like it would be true for me to be like, ‘I’m coming out!’ No, I do a job. Until I decide that I’m starting a foundation or that I have some perspective or opinion that other people should be receiving…I don’t.”

Moreover, she thinks that “in three or four years, there are going to be a whole lot more people who don’t think it’s necessary to figure out if you’re gay or straight. It’s like, just do your thing.”

When it comes to the Kardashian/Jenner family, it’s usually Kim, Khloe, Kylie or Kendall making the headlines but in June, it was Caitlyn Jenner as she came out as a trans woman.

In a beautiful photoshoot and interview with Vanity Fair, the Olympian and reality TV star revealed her true gender identity.

Caitlyn has been a controversial figure amongst the transgender community ever since (her E! reality show suggests that she still has a lot to learn about the struggles of less-privileged trans people) and on The Ellen DeGeneres show she admitted to the talk show host that she’s still a bit wary when it comes to same-sex marriage but her coming out did spark a conversation and it encouraged many other people to come out too.

If you don’t spend much time on YouTube then there’s a good chance that up until June of this year, you had no idea who Ingrid Nilsen was.

But, in an emotional, 19 minute video, the beauty and fashion vlogger revealed her struggle of being closeted and how much it meant to her to be able to tell those around her (and her almost 4 million subscribers) about her identity.

And, in a super cute turn of events, not long after Ingrid came out, she revealed that she’s dating (fellow YouTube superstar) Hannah Hart!

5. Jess Glynne

Holy My Hand, Not Letting Go, My Love, Rather Be, and Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself; these massively popular songs all reached number 1 in the UK and earned Jess Glynne a place in the record books as the British solo female with the most #1 singles (a record she shares with Cheryl Fernandez Versini). But as we were all dancing along, Jess revealed exactly what inspired all of the tracks.

Her debut album, I Cry When I Laugh, was inspired by her break up with her ex-girlfriend, though she told The Daily Star Sunday that “I’m never going to put a label on my sexuality and people should never feel uncomfortable about who they love”.

Miley Cyrus is one controversial figure and her tabloid-featuring antics mean that some people loathe her rather than like her.

However, plenty of people supported her when the former Disney star came out as pansexual earlier this year and she also spoke about her gender identity too.

Speaking to Paper magazine, the singer and actress told the publication that “I don’t relate to being boy or girl, and I don’t have to have my partner relate to boy or girl”.

Note: Despite this being a list of ‘out famous women’, Miley Cyrus identifies as gender-fluid and not as a woman.

This year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup was a defining moment of 2015 for so many reasons.

Not only was it the most viewed women’s world cup in the tournament’s history and not only did it ignite a debate about sexism and equal treatment (due to the women being paid less than the men and having to play on astro-turf) but because many non-heterosexual football players would be playing too.

Joining Megan Rapinoe, Abby Wambach, Ali Krieger and several others was Swiss player Ramona Bachmann who actually came out at the world cup. She revealed that her girlfriend, Camille, was at the tournament supporting her and that they’d been together for almost a year.

Supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne is no stranger to the LGBTQ community having made headlines last year when she attended a basketball game with her then-girlfriend Michelle Rodriguez, with the two of them being all over each other as they sat court-side.

But in Vogue she spoke openly about her sexuality, saying that she’s in love with her girlfriend Annie Clark (known by her stage name, St. Vincent) and that she could fall for anyone of any gender.

Unfortunately, the Vogue interview seemed to frame her sexuality as a phase and not long after, Delevingne clarified, saying “my sexuality is not a phase. I am who I am”

9. Patricia Velasquez

Model and actress Patricia Velasquez is credited as being the world’s first Latina supermodel and in 1994 she was also the first Venezuelan model to be part of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. But what people didn’t know is that during that same decade – the 90s – Velasquez was also coming to terms with her identity as a gay woman.

In her memoir, Straight Walk: A Supermodel’s Journey to Finding Her Truth, she reveals that she first realised her sexuality after she fell for Sandra Bernhard and that

among the fashion world and fashion people, I always felt great because, you know, the fashion world is very open and I felt very welcome”.

Angel McCoughtry is one of the WNBA’s most talented players having helped the USA basketball team win Olympic gold and world championship gold, but earlier this year it wasn’t her basketball achievements that had everyone talking.

The sports web was abuzz as McCoughtry left Turkish club Fenerbahҫe (officially due to contractual disagreements) and came out on Instagram.

In an Instagram post with her fiancé, Brande Elise, the basketball star revealed that “yes we been discriminated against! We lost friends! Family members are upset! They said I disgraced my religion!” also claiming that Fenerbahҫe “threatened” her job if she didn’t post on social media saying that their relationship is a lie. Hardships aside, “one thing I do know”, wrote McCoughtry, “is that LOVE is a great feeling”

Kristen Stewart‘s latest photo shoot isn’t what you’d typically expect from the actress.

On Saturday, world-renowned photographer Mario Testino shared a stunning yet very naked photo of Kristen on Instagram.

Testino describes the project as a liberating experience for the subjects.

Selena Gomez is stepping into her power and taking control.

The 23-year-old singer has moved on from her split from Justin Bieber, and from the sound of it, she plans to remain happily single for a while as she focuses on herself and her career.

In a new interview, Gomez talks about gay fans and friends, including out model/actress Cara Delevingne. When asked how she felt about lesbian rumours that were sparked by her hanging out with Cara, she joked,

I’ve made it! … Honestly, I loved it. I didn’t mind it. Especially because they weren’t talking about other people in my life for once, which was wonderful. Honestly, though, she’s incredible and very open and she just makes me open. She’s so fun and she’s just extremely adventurous, and sometimes I just want that in my life, so I didn’t mind it. I loved it.”

As to if she’s ever questioned her sexuality, Gomez said,

Oh, I think everybody does, no matter who they are. I do, yeah, of course. Absolutely. I think it’s healthy to gain a perspective on who you are deep down, question yourself and challenge yourself; it’s important to do that.”

Selena also said she has a “long list” of women she’d choose to play her on-screen love interest, but does note she’d choose definitely pick model Suki Waterhouse.

It’s official: YouTube sensation and Project Runway judge Ingrid Nilsen – who came out in an emotional video posted to her channel in June – is dating fellow internet star Hannah Hart.  Cue all the swoons and ohs and ahs. They are too cute!

Hart, 28, confirmed she is dating the 26-year-old beauty vlogger in the October issue of DIVA magazine.

I met someone who was a great fit for the real me…She’s also a YouTuber. We’ve actually been friends for a couple of years and then…circumstances kind of aligned. Her name is Ingrid and she is a big YouTuber. But she’s also one of the most brilliant, soulful people I’ve ever met. It’s so good.”

She added that being in the same industry as her girlfriend only makes their relationship better.

While Hart has been open about her sexuality for years, Ingrid only came out this past summer.

In a powerful YouTube video that received more than 12 million views, the one-time Project Runway judge revealed she had been attracted to girls since age four but always dated men because she was scared of not being accepted by society because of her sexual preference.

Kristen Stewart Says It’s Crazy That People Still Believe The LGBT Community Should Be Denied The Right To Love.

In a new interview with the Daily Beast, Kristen Stewart has spoke about Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who was jailed for contempt of court after ignoring orders to let same-sex couples marry.

She said of Davis:

Oh my god… did you see her come out of jail? Honestly, it makes me so deeply uncomfortable. I feel really bad for her.

Anyone who’s so closed off to things that are so apparent? Imagine what else she’s missing out on in life.

I’m not making any grand statements about her personally, but if something so glaringly obvious… it’s like, ‘Oh, buddy, that must suck’.

That fear of the unknown cripples people, breeds hate, and it’s just very sad.”

This summer, the actress briefly opened up about her sexuality with Alicia Cargile, referencing tabloid stories by saying: “Google me, I’m not hiding.”

Stewart also said it is “crazy” that people still believe that the LGBT community should be denied the right to love.

She said:

Abso-f**king-lutely, it is crazy. It’s weird because if you’re overtly emotional about anything, people discredit what thought you might be contributing, because anything overtly emotional can be viewed as a weakness.

It’s interesting what you’re saying about how now we’re trying to suppress emotions or irregularities with drugs and deem people controllable by meds, because I think we’re more in tune and more honest with our emotions now than we have ever been.

You think about your grandparents or their grandparents, and you think about the patriarch of the family never showing emotion—with women, too.

As we’ve gotten past that, the meds have upped. It’s bizarre. The two things don’t really go together.”

Eddie Redmayne Transforms Into Transgender Artist Lili Elbe In Trailer For Oscar-Hyped Drama ‘The Danish Girl’

The first trailer for The Danish Girl, starring Eddie Redmayne as famous transgender, has been released.

The film, based on the book of the same name by David Ebershoff, focuses on

the true story of transgender pioneer Lili – born Einar Wegener – who became one of the first people to have gender reassignment surgery in the 1930s.

The trailer opens with the beautiful love story between Einar and his wife Gerda, who falls for the ‘charming and mysterious’ artist.

When one of Gerda’s models fails to show for a painting session, she persuades her husband to pose for her in a dress, unaware of how meaningful the moment is for him.

The dress-up spirals into a joke as the pair create a new identity for him, the beautiful and enigmatic Lili, heading out for the evening to see whether they can fool others.

But Gerda soon realises it is no longer a game for her partner, who experiences a revelation and admits to feeling more like her true self as Lili than she ever has, declaring, ‘This is not my body’.

With her wife’s support, Eddie’s character then embarks on the life-changing process of gender reassignment surgery.

Speaking previously about the movie, Eddie called the portrayal of transgender artist Lili Elbe ‘his most challenging role yet’.

Redmayne told GQ magazine:

I was actually offered The Danish Girl before Hawking… People go, “Oh are you doing this transformative thing?” It’s not a concerted choice. I think it will be a unique experience.”

Meanwhile, Academy Award-winner Hooper – who previously worked with Redmayne on Les Miserables – has revealed there was no other actor than the hugely talented Eddie for the role.

I was a great believer in him as an actor. I think also there’s a certain gender fluidity that I sensed in him, that I found intriguing and it led me to think he might be a really interesting person to cast in this role. I felt that there was something in him that was drawn to the feminine. That was something that I felt he might be interested to explore further.”

The Danish Girl opens in New York and Los Angeles on November 27, and in additional cities in December.

Miley Cyrus Confirms She is Pansexual Not Bisexual

In a new interview with Elle Magazine, Miley Cyrus has clarified that she actually identifies as pansexual – the attraction to people regardless of sex or gender identity – rather than bisexual, which has been widely reported in the media.

She told the magazine:

I’m very open about it – I’m pansexual. But I’m not in a relationship. I’m 22, I’m going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I’m with.”

The Cyrus also spoke about to discusses why she decided to use her power, and popularity, to do something important by setting up her charity The Happy Hippie Foundation.

Like her or loathe her, everyone has an opinion on Miley Cyrus. So the singer went undercover on Jimmy Kimmel’s show to see what people really thought of her.

Cyrus disguised herself as an Australian called Janet for the talk show host’s ‘I Witness News’ segment and took to the streets of LA to see if, despite the tabloid frenzy, people actually thought she was a bad role model.

One interviewee not only blasted the entire Cyrus family, but later on suggested,

I think she’s starving for attention and that’s why she’s doing it all crazy like that. She’s missing something somewhere.”

The awkwardness continued. Cyrus spoke with a man who had no problem with her, but liked Taylor Swift better.

Speaking to another woman, Cyrus pretended to forget her own father’s name while the woman posited,

Still, Cyrus had some fun with some of her interviewees, including two teens who sang the chorus of “We Can’t Stop” before joining the eager, pant-suited Janet for a quick twerk. The entire bit ended with one man telling Janet straight up, “I think you’re Miley Cyrus right now.”

Lea DeLaria: “My Entire Life Has Been Trying To Put A Positive Spin On What It Is To Be Butch.”

Orange is the New Black star Lea DeLaria has joined YouTube’s StyleLikeU to tell her journey of self-acceptance – from Catholic school to stand-up comedy.

The video is part of The What’s Underneath Project series of videos.

Throughout the clip, the comic and actress slowly strips down to her boxers and sports bra as she talks about body image, self-assurance and being a proud gay butch woman in the LGBT community.

My entire life has been trying to put a positive spin on what it is to be butch.”

Her sexuality has always been a known fact, and she never covered this up:

In an interview with Nylon, Kristen Stewart has opened up about her sexuality.

However, Twilight actress, who was supposedly “outed” by her mum Jules in June, says that while she isn’t hiding, this is not a “coming out”.

It’s like I’m involved in a weekly comic book,” she says. “I have this assigned personality … which I helped create, I suppose. People stand to make a lot of money on people like me – it’s this booming industry, so why would you go and change the character that people are paying for?”

With so many awkward interviews happening, Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart wanted to make sure they didn’t miss out on all of the uncomfortable fun. So they decided to stage their own.

Ahead of the release of American Ultra, Eisenberg and Stewart filmed an awkward interview for Funny or Die in which the two stars asked each other questions.

Stewart says the studio thought “it would be fun” for the two actors to interview each other, thus commencing an extremely awkward exchange.

How did you bulk up for this role? What are your favourite sports teams?”

However, the questions Eisenberg are asked are much different.

Are you seeing anyone? Are you pregnant? What about your boobs? Do they ever slip out accidentally? And is that ever funny or awkward? Or do you do that on purpose to get attention? Do you have a favourite boob?”

After receiving questions about fashion designers, dating, pregnancy and boobs, Eisenberg realises how much easier he has it during interviews, when he’s usually just asked if he used to be the class clown.

I’m not uncomfortable doing interviews. I just feel like a lot of the questions you’re asking me feel like they’re not about the movie.”

Eisenberg concludes the interview by deadpanning,

Now I know what it’s like to be a woman.”

In a new image – taken by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot for an upcoming W Magazine shoot – Cyrus is seen topless while the girlfriend (as confirmed by W) Stella Maxwell feeds her cake.

Stella was first linked to Miley in May, but the pair confirmed they were more than good friends after they were spotted sharing a passionate smooch on the set of Miley’s video last month.

The kiss came after Miley, who was previously engaged to Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, told Paper Magazine that she was open to bisexuality.

E! Entertainment’s much anticipated premiere of “I am Cait” — Caitlyn Jenner‘s new series documenting her first months as a woman — on Sunday was packed full of emotional and eye-opening scenes.

But one especially memorable moment was when Kanye West arrived with wife, Kim Kardashian, and bestowed the former Olympian with high praise.

Kanye said Jenner’s transition was

… one of the strongest things that have happened in our existence as human beings that are controlled by perception.”

He went on to say

You couldn’t have been up against more. Like, your daughter is a supermodel, you’re a celebrity, you have every type of thing, and it was still like, ‘f*** everybody, this is who I am.’”

Jenner appeared to be very touched by Kanye’s words.

Later in the show, she explained how much the rapper helped stepdaughter Kim deal with the transition process.

Kanye and I have never really been very close, but I love his open-mindedness,” Jenner said. “I love how he’s helped Kim come to grips with what’s going on.”

‘I am Cait’ has found widespread praise for focussing on anti-trans violence, as opposed to just Jenner’s personal life.

Orange Is The New Black News: Ruby Rose Talks Stella’s Fate

The whole world fell slightly in love with Ruby Rose following her Orange Is The New Black debut, but now that it’s all over and her character Stella’s fate is still uncertain, what does she think is going to happen?

Speaking in an interview with Variety, Rose credits her short film Break Free for helping her bag her role on the series.

She also revealed that she was originally meant to play an American inmate in the show, before producers told her they were sticking with her Ozzie roots.

As for Stella’s fate, Rose reckons Piper may have taken things a bit far:

I obviously don’t think she deserved quite that fate. Stella had done her time and was ready to get out. It wasn’t the wisest thing for her to steal from Piper but having said that, Stella comes from nothing.

She has no money, no help on the outside, and I think this is what happens when you’ve done time in prison and you’re about to go into the real world. It’s not easy.”

Unfortunately for fans keen to see her back for Season 4, she admitted she doesn’t know if Stella will return, as filming has already started for the first few episodes.

Rose is set to star in Dark Matter this week, and is in talks with Fast and Furious 8.

The Lesbian Plot Thickens | Glory Johnson Want $20K in Spousal Support From Brittney Griner

Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson’s marriage may be over, but if Johnson gets her way, they’ll be in each other’s lives for years to come.

ESPNW is reporting that Glory Johnson is asking for $20,000 dollars a month (yes… you’re reading this correctly) in spousal support concluding their divorce. Court documents filed in June in Maricopa County, Ariz., also show that Johnson is requesting a $10,000 advancement towards her attorney’s fees.

Legal representative for Johnson, Stasy Click, believes that Johnson is warranted in her request, saying that Griner has “far superior control over the family’s financial resources” and that Johnson is “without the necessary financial means to pay for legal representation in this matter.”

Click’s claims comes from reports that Johnson is currently on a slashed salary from the WNBA due to her pregnancy, which also makes her unfit to play overseas this winter. Since she has no means of a steady income, she is requesting spousal support from her ex-wife.

In the filing, Johnson also claims that she cannot seek employment outside of basketball because it is a “high-risk multiple pregnancy” — she is set to have twins. Though she intends on returning to basketball full-time postpartum, she currently needs “household assistance, personal trainers, and medical care not covered by her current insurance.”

She also claims that furnishing the home she and Griner once shared, in vitro fertilisation costs and wedding expenses drained her financially.

Griner filed to annul her marriage to Johnson on June 4, approximately one month after they tied the knot.

Her court petition states that she was unaware when the in vitro fertilisation resulting in Johnson’s pregnancy had taken place.

She also stated that their marriage was “based of fraud” and that both parties had acquired “minimal community property and incurred minimal community debts during their three-week marriage”.

The ladies will both appear in court on August 17 for a hearing regarding Griner’s annulment petition.

Kristen Stewart Reveals Her Personal Reason For Cutting Her Hair Short

Kristen Stewart has candidly discussed the ‘traumatic period’ that shaped her new attitude.

The actress, who famously cheated on boyfriend Robert Pattison in 2012, opened up about her life experiences in the August edition on Marie Claire US.

She said:

I lit my universe on fire and I watched it burn. Speaking very candidly, it was a really traumatic period in my early 20s that kick-started something in me that was a bit more… feral.”

Stewart debuted her pixie cut at the Chanel Autumn/Winter 2014 couture show last July, and at the time it was speculated the change was required for her role in the film American Ultra, but the truth is far more personal.

My hair was such a crutch. I looked quote unquote ‘sexy’ no matter what. I could hide behind it. As soon as I didn’t have all that hair, I had to let my face hang out. I felt more confident than I had in a really long time. And it felt really good. Maybe to most people long hair is prettier. But then what? Is your main goal in life to be desired? That is boring as fuck.”

It’s a relaxed image that Kristen believes she has grown into after her career took off during her teenage years.

She explained:

Between ages 15 and 20, it was really intense. I was constantly anxious. I was kind of a control freak. If I didn’t know how something was going to turn out, I would make myself ill, or just be locked up or inhibited in a way that was really debilitating.”

Typically private Kristen is now dating her personal assistant Alicia Cargile.

The romance was confirmed by her mum Jules, who described her daughter as ‘happy’ with her new relationship.

From Jumpsuit to Jazz, Lea DeLaria’s Other Career

Lea DeLaria is best known too many as one of the stars of Orange is the New Black, playing the prison inmate Big Boo.

However, what you may not know is that not only is DeLaria a fabulous actress, veteran of Broadway musicals and stand-up comedy, but she is also a jazz singer – and she has a new album out – House of David.

Talking to The Frame, DeLaria says Jazz singing is something she says has been with her since childhood, and that she cultivated a career in jazz by marrying it with activism and stand-up comedy while performing.

I figured out I could sing. I knew I could sing. I’d been doing it as a child with my father for years. So I would bring a little trio on stage with me and I’d be raging at them and then I would kind of sing a standard. I’d just sing a standard and it would lull the audience into sort of a false sense of security. Then I would start screaming ‘dyke’ at them again.”

DeLaria’s interest in singing was something that she says was encouraged by her father, who himself was a jazz pianist. At the age of 5, DeLaria would sing for her father, who proceeded to teach her about jazz music.

By 8, DeLaria had learned more of the intricacies of of jazz and began performing at nightclubs with her father.

Let’s face it, I was like the bearded lady. It was a circus act thing. It was a way for the cats to get a break and go off the bandstand. Then I would sing a duet with [my dad]. Eventually the trio would join sometimes. It worked so well — people loved it— that he kept doing it with me.”

After performing and training, DeLaria discovered that singing was her passion and that she wanted to pursue it as a career. After telling her father, DeLaria says he had guidelines for how DeLaria should pursue jazz.

He said, Look, that is OK with me, but you can’t be just be a pretty girl with a pleasant voice. You need to understand music and learn the language of jazz. He really taught me to sing from my balls. He encouraged me to really sing like a horn player. Like any good horn player, I know when to be soft and I know when to be loud. It’s like making love to a woman — sometimes you want a nice light touch and sometimes you got to bang.”

And the David Bowie link? DeLaria pins the origins of her love for Bowie on the moment she first heard the guitar riff on “Fame.”

One thing that I learned from him I think more than any other performer is his insistence to be exactly who he is. That is fascinating to me. As a little girl, I have to say as a little bull dyke, growing up in the Midwest thinking that I was the only one — didn’t know that there were other gay people even out there — having this man be who he was a terrific lesson for me.”

After a long period of cultivating skills in various performance fields, DeLaria still feels as though all her talents make up a part of her true self.

It’s really hard for me to determine where my true self lies in all the things that I can do. I can do a lot of things. It’s that simple. I’m really happy when I’m filming ‘Orange is the New Black.’ I love being down stage center at a Broadway show and belting out a D sharp and hearing that audience applaud. When I’m in a little smokey jazz club at 1 o’clock in the morning, and I am blowing over changes with the cats, and we are digging it, and we are creating this art all together at the same time, I love that too.”

DeLaria’s new jazz David Bowie cover album, “House of David,” is set for release July 24 and is already available digitally. It’s her fifth album.

Miley Cyrus and Victoria Secret’s model, Stella Maxwell, have been spending a lot of time together (see Instagram), resulting in a explosion dating rumours. Any gender fluid couple posting that many pictures together has got to be a couple right?

Well, the rumours are at least partially true. The pair were spotted kissing during a break on set of Cyrus’ upcoming music video, with TMZ catching them making out against a bus – capturing it on video.

This appears to be an invasion of privacy that is not above TMZ, of course, (who loves a good sex tape). But don’t feel weird about watching the video (which, I may add, depicts a SERIOUS make out session. There’s ass grabbing and hands being shoved down pants and everything), Cyrus and Maxwell make eye-contact with the camera before going at it.

It’s reported that both were very aware that photographers were snapping photos of them, but the two seemed comfortable enough to ignore them. They both simply looked happy and not interested in hiding it.

In a candid interview with Paper Magazine back in June, Cyrus expressed,

I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age. Everything that’s legal, I’m down with. Yo, I’m down with any adult—anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me.”

She recalled the first time she shared her attraction towards women with her mother and telling her,

I love them. I love them like I love boys.”

Maxwell also has spoken about Cyrus in the past, sharing the story of how they met with V Magazine:

Glory Johnson Announces She’s Expecting Twins

One month after their May nuptials, the two-time Tulsa Shock All-Star Glory Johnson announced she was expecting a baby with wife Brittney Griner. However, the following day, Griner filed for an annulment, a move that left the mom-to-be “truly really saddened.”

But life moves on and this week the Johnson announced she’s nine weeks along with twins while sharing a snapshot of her ultrasound on Instagram.

Amber Heard Discusses the Importance of Being Out in Hollywood

Actress Amber Heard came out during an event organised by GLAAD in 2010, saying she believed that denying or hiding something is an inadvertent admission that it’s “wrong”.

On her decision to come out, she recently told The Times:

At that time I didn’t know of anyone else in my position who was a working female lead actress. I don’t want to have to deny my sexuality in order to be me. But I don’t want to have to be defined by it. I’m fundamentally opposed to trying to edit myself to be palatable or popular. I don’t give a f**k. I fight, but I shouldn’t have to.”

Heard also admitted re-writing her lines for Magic Mike to suggest that her character was bisexual and enjoyed the film’s “reversed gender roles” .

It’s a film about men seeking sexual attention. It gives the power position to women. My character’s function has nothing to do with her sexuality.”

Going on, she said she thought celebrities who stay in the closet are “inadvertently admitting it’s wrong” to be gay or bisexual.

She went on:

I personally think that if you deny something or if you hide something you’re inadvertently admitting it’s wrong. I hate the idea of a label just as much as anyone else but I’m with who I’m with. I’m not a better actress than I was yesterday and my personal life should have no effect on that.”

An increasing number of celebrities are choosing to come out publicly. Cara Delevingne mostly recently confirmed her relationship with the singer St Vincent during an interview with Vogue, while Ellen Page announced she was gay at a conference for LGBT teens last year.

Stop Everything – Is This The L Word Reunion We’ve Been Waiting For?

No quiet, but close enough.

Former The L Word co-stars and on-screen lovers – Sarah Shahi (who played Carmen) and Kate Moennig (Shane) – were reunited on the set of Ray Donovan in today’s Post of the Day.

Sarah is guest starring Ray Donovan. She’ll be playing Hasmig, an Armenian pop star. Much to any fan of The L Word’s delight, she will play opposite of Kate—who plays Lena, Donovan’s assistant.

The third season of Ray Donovan premieres on July 12. We can’t wait to see Kate and Sarah back on the small screen together again.

According to reports, the former Hannah Montana star, Miley Cyrus, is involved Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell for the past few months.

A source says:

They hold hands and hug and are very comfortable together. They’re definitely together.”

The two have been linked to each other’s Instagram feeds, so it’s not hard to imagine them being close in some way.

Miley, who has made countless headlines lately regarding her sexuality, again grabbed the spotlight on Tuesday night, when she brought an “agender” date, Tyler Ford, to the amfAR Gala in New York City.

Miley has previously been linked to Patrick Schwarzenegger and Liam Hemsworth. However, although she says she has had relationships with women, she has chosen to keep those private.

She said:

There are times in my life where I’ve had boyfriends or girlfriends. And there are times where I just love being with myself and don’t want to give part of myself away to someone else … I think that’s a new freedom for women, especially.”

As far as Stella and Miley (might we suggest “Stiley” if this sticks?), the two have reportedly been spending time together since Miley split from Schwarzenegger in March. Both gals have made numerous appearances on each other’s Instagram pages over the past few months.

Miley apparently met the 24-year-old runway bombshell through her friend/assistant Cheyne Thomas.

Miley Cyrus Discusses the Dynamics of Dating Men and Women

Miley Cyrus has once again opened up about on her sexuality and the experiences she’s shared when dating both men and women.

The former Hannah Montana recently did a interview with Time magazine, where she talked about her past relationships with both men and women, Instagram insecurities and her new role as an advocate for people across the gender spectrum.

In the interview, Cyrus discusses having a future that could involve a husband or wife or perhaps being a single mom by choice.

She’s also reflecting on how dissatisfied she felt in past romances, especially with the expectations for how men and women are supposed to act.

That made me feel like I had to be a femme-bot, which I’m not. And then when I was with a girl, I felt like, ‘Oh s–t, she’s going to need someone to protect her, so I’m going to need to have this macho energy.’ And that didn’t feel right either.”

As for what she’s looking for in a partner, Cyrus revealed it was about more than sex.

In addition to addressing her sexuality, Cyrus also revealed why she’s been so hell-bent on losing her Disney star persona.

Cyrus adds that she’s devoted to efforts, like her #InstaPride campaign, that make those in the LGBT community more comfortable with who they are.

Kristen Stewart’s Mother Denies ‘Outing’ Her

Kristen Stewart, is famed for refusing to speak about her own private life and sexuality.

However, this weekend the Sunday Mirror carried an interview with her mother – Jules Stewart – in which she supposedly claimed her daughter was in a relationship Alicia Cargile.

I’ve met Kristen’s new girlfriend, I like her. What’s not to accept? She’s a lovely girl.

I feel like people need to be free to love whoever they want. I accept my daughter loves women and men.”

Jules Stewart has since told US Weekly that she has been misquoted – and did not discuss her daughter’s love life.

I spoke to [journalist] Sharon Feinstein about my film K-11 that has been put on display in the Hollywood Museum.

It’s currently there under the LGBT banner on the third floor. She also asked me about my views on gay rights, which I was happy to express. Then we talked briefly about the fundraiser I am hosting for TheWolfConnection.org. Never ever did we discuss Kristen!”

She says that when she was asked about Ms Cargile she said she was a “lovely girl” – but did not confirm her daughter was dating her.

While it’s unlikely Kristen or Alicia will be making a statement or clarifications about the situation, it’s clear how much we as a community are hoping they will.

We want Kristen Stewart on our team because and we want to hear her say it. We want her mom to say she’s proud of her, and that she supports her. We want that for Kristen, like we want it for ourselves.

Some will argue it’s wrong to put so much into a stranger’s identity, but it’s not wrong to be giddy over the idea Kristen is in a happy relationship with a woman.
