Ellen DeGeneres and Lady Gaga Bring The Love In New Campaign

In a time of division and partisan bitterness, love is what we need right now.

That was the overarching message in new a new campaign from The Love Project which has enlisted Lady Gaga, Ellen DeGeneres and ally Pharrell Williams to share what love means.

The spot – a collaboration with makeup giant Revlon – was created to benefit charities like The Born This Way Foundation, The Trevor Project, From One Hand to AnOTHER and The Women’s Heart Alliance.

Gaga co-founded the nonprofit Born This Way Foundation in 2011 along with her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, with a stated mission of “empowering youth” and “inspiring bravery” through kindness, sharing resources on mental wellness and creating a positive climate in schools.

The goal of the Theloveproject2017 is to spread the message that

the more love we put out there, the more the benefits multiply for all of us… It’s why The Love Project’s mission is to grow more love in the world by asking you to share you #Lovein3Words.”

10 Things Lesbians Are Tired Of Hearing (Video)

A new video from The Social Renaissance Project, is shining a spotlight on some of the cliché (and oftentimes offensive) questions and comments we – as queer women – get asked all the time.

Talking to The Huffington Post, the project’s Director, Joshua Walker, explained the meaning behind the project;

I want people to take away the fact that you can’t just say things without thinking and without understanding that your words have power; in good ways and bad ways. Assuming that someone automatically fits into a stereotype simply because of what they identify with is doing a disservice to you and to that person. We also want people to understand and come to appreciate the diversity within the LGBT community. We really want people to watch this and think, wow, I really hope I don’t say things like this to the lesbians in my life.”

MTV Stars Discuss The Network’s LGBT Legacy And The Importance Of Visibility (Video)

Thankfully, over the year, MTV has been actively pushing for greater LGBT visibility on it’s television shows.

Have You Ever Wondered What It Means To Be Asexual? (Video)

How much do you have/want/think about sex? It’s said that 1 in 100 people have absolutely zero interest in it.

In some ways, asexuality is the forgotten sexual orientation and most people aren’t even sure what it means.

In a new video from BBC Raw, film maker India Greenhalgh explores what it means to be Asexual.

Asexuality usually means not having a desire toward sexual activity either within our outside a relationship.

The subjects of the video discuss the difficulties of feeling interested in someone, without having a sexual connection.

They also discuss how difficult it can be to come out as Asexual, possibly compared to coming out as gay, or another sexual orientation.

Despite mis-labelling transgender as a sexual orientation a the beginning, the below video actually gives a very interesting insight into what it means to come out as Asexual.

Wonderful: Lesbians Speculate ‘Wildly’ About Straight Sex (Video)

As we all know (sadly from personal experiences), straight people are fascinated by lesbian sex.

And given an opportunity, they will ask us a zillion questions about our sex lives.

They’ll want to know if you use dildos, if you cuddle a lot (c’mon) and if you’ve ever tried dental dams (almost, surely, never).

But queer women rarely get to ask straight people how they have sex. It’s taken for granted that everyone knows how to do it and what it is.

We’re all supposed to be fluent in heterosexuality, regardless of our native tongue.

So Mashable have pulled together four queer women and asked them their most burning questions about straight sex…

Why are so many straight people watching queer porn? Please describe semen. Explain, using examples, balls.”

Do You Think Mobile Phones Are Ruining Your Relationships? This Couple Has A Refreshing Take On It

Yes, a healthy queer relationship being displayed in main stream media.

Last week Buzzfeed posted a video where they interviewed a number of couples on whether cell phones were ruining relationships or not.

One of the couples featured was this beautiful lesbian couple, who served as a breath of fresh air to LGBTQ viewers.

The Human Project has released their latest video experiment, which features lesbians trying to make out with guys (some of them for the first time).

It asks:

Do lesbians secretly enjoy kissing men? Let’s find out.”

The clip paired up lesbians with a number of straight guys, and the results are mostly pretty awkward.

After making out with a guy, one of the women volunteers:

I’m sorry, but it was awkward… it was!”

Other concerns include the presence or lack of facial hair:

I like the beard.”

”I was really glad you didn’t have facial hair, that scares me.”

One of the men observed a difference too, saying:

“I’m not used to the female being so… assertive!”

Meanwhile, the project was repeated with gay men and straight women:

 

PJ Harvey Shares New Album Teaser (Video)

Despite being aesthetically yummy, we also can’t help but love PJ Harvey’s dreamy lyrics and beautiful songs.

And there’s nothing better to listen whilst having hot, steamy bedroom time. (Not that I would know, of course.)

So its great to hear that Harvey has recorded her new album, and made it available to the public as part of a London museum exhibition.

This week she shared a 30-second teaser for the record, which is out next spring.

Love is love: New Video Tom Goss Features Stunning Same-Sex Dance Sequence

LGBT advocate and award winning musician, Tom Goss has just released the video for his new song, ‘Breath and Sound’, that tells the story of three couples, who meet – and fall in love – through a moving dance sequence.

Talking to The Huffington Post Goss said that he wanted the LGBT community to feel as if the video was “telling their story.”

That’s why I’m doing this. There isn’t enough LGBT content being produced. Historically, people have been afraid to tell these stories – but I’m not. I will always use my voice to help tell the stories of those who cannot.”

However, he said that the video is not just for the LGBT community, saying he wants the video to help straight people “to understand the boundlessness of love.”

There’s a reason the first verse focuses on the straight couple alone – that’s what [straight people] are used to seeing. I want straight people to be drawn into a familiar story, one they understand and relate to. Once there, I want to show them that this exact same story is being lived by the LGBT community,”

He added.

As a gay man, I don’t want special privilege. I just want to love – passionately, fearlessly and completely.”

German Magazine Uses Lesbian ‘Angela Merkel’ Lookalike in Video Promotion

Here’s a gem-of-an-advert for German magazine Straight, starring an Angela Merkel Doppelgänger who – surprise – is actually a lesbian.

As the TV discusses a news report that 62% of Germans are okay with same-sex marriage, she shakes her head as a misdirect. Then her lady comes up form behind for a tender embrace.

According to its publisher, the video has been watched millions of times on Straight magazine’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.

While Merkel has backed equal benefits, such as tax breaks, for gay couples, she has ruled out same-sex marriages in Germany.

In a recent interview with German YouTube star Florian Mundt — AKA LeFloid — Merkel said that she wants to “eliminate all discrimination,” but that for her personally “marriage is the living together of man and woman.” Merkel’s second husband is Joachim Sauer, a professor of theoretical chemistry.

Eva Werle, spokeswoman for Straight magazine told NBC News.

In order to generate attention you need to provoke. We have not received a direct response to our advert from Mrs. Merkel, but we hope that she will change her stance on gay marriages.”

When contacted by NBC News, a government spokesperson said:

We have taken note of the ad, but will not comment.”

The new magazine features the debate over same-sex marriage as one of its main topics. Its first issue appeared on German newsstands Wednesday.

…And we love her too after watching this hilarious reenactment too and her amazing support to her daughter.

As we all know not all LGBT children get the same treatment. Many struggle for acceptance in schools, at church, at work, and especially in their own home.

Women are still so vulnerable in society; especially if you look even closer at girls from the age of 12-18. They are the most vulnerable group of all women in society.

When there is poverty, no education, and social instability, those children are easily falling into the victims of sexual trafficking and abuse.

Thus, attention is needed for young children to let KIDS be KIDS and live their life that they supposed to. Show your support.

This advert, which is believed to be the Canada’s Response To Russia’s Anti-LGBT Propaganda Law, has been watched more than 5 million times on YouTube. Created by Canadian Institute for Diversity and Inclusion the ad promotes the Olympic Games as initially homosexual.
