History will be made this summer as Luscious Queer Music Festival establishes its self as Northern California’s first LGBTQ music festival. Promising to be a ‘queer Woodstock’ – the 3 day event starts August 22nd at Saratoga Springs in Upper Lake California.
“Our mission: bring together the LGBTQ community in a beautiful, natural setting to celebrate queer musicians, comedians and DJs, while raising funds for LGBTQ people seeking asylum.”
Luscious Queer Music Festival
Saratoga is known for its numerous LGBT retreats and events, making it the perfect place to kick off the very first Luscious Queer Music Festival. Due to house 1000 festival participants, an exceptional lineup of national headlining and local favourite LGBTQ musicians is planned.
Headliners due to appear include Grammy performer Mary Lambert, Cris Williamson, Justin Vivian Bond, Magic Mouth, comic / actor Marga Gomez, and much more
“Every event such as Luscious Music Festival provides yet another opportunity to integrate our arts and our lives, and demonstrate that community is possible and necessary for all of it to have sustaining power.”
A portion of the proceeds of Luscious Queer Music Festival will go to ORAM and JFCS/East Bay’s LGBTI Refugee and Asylee Program, to make an impact on LGBTQ immigration rights by raising desperately needed funds to help LGBTQ people being violently persecuted in Africa and Russia, successfully seek asylum in other countries where their lives will not be in danger.
