Lottie Moss comes out publicly as pansexual

Lottie Moss, who is the younger sister of supermodel Kate Moss, has come out publicly as pansexual, saying she is open to relationships with people of “any gender”.

The model, opened up about her sexuality in an Instagram Q&A on this week after being asked whether she would ever date a girl.

“I’m pansexual so I don’t really mind… any gender”, said Moss. “It kinda changes every day as well. It depends on who I meet.”

Moss, who has fronted campaigns for the likes of Chanel and Calvin Kelin, was romantically linked to Made In Chelsea star Alex Mytton in 2016.

She is one of growing number of stars to come out publicly as pansexual, with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Bella Thorne, Rina Sawayama, Cara Delevingne, Janelle Monáe and comedian Tess Holliday all using the term to describe their sexuality.

Kristen Stewart, Clea DuVall and Aubrey Plaza line up in face masks for the Happiest Season

Kristen Stewart is not one to let a face mask cramp her style. The actor attended the drive-in premiere of her new Hulu film Happiest Season this week wearing an all-black Chanel look and a Love Wins face mask.

After the red carpet, Stewart ditched the heels and skirt, changing into a pair of ripped black jeans and a green bomber jacket while speaking to the crowd with co-star Alison Brie, who opted for lightwash jeans and a wool blazer.

Happiest Season stars Stewart and Mackenzie Davis as a lesbian couple, Abby and Harper, who are dealing with the stress of a conservative family at Christmas. The young couple are in the flush of love, living together in Pittsburgh and approaching their one-year anniversary of meeting on Christmas.

That holiday cheer is all the more remarkable given Abby’s aversion to Christmas since the loss of her parents at 19. So in an impromptu bit of sentimentality, Harper invites Abby to spend the holidays with her family in the suburbs—and Abby is ready to meet that commitment with a Yuletide proposal.

There’s just one problem: Harper is not out to her family, for fear of tainting father Ted’s (Victor Garber) mayoral campaign. And while the last thing that Abby wants is to go back into the closet, she reluctantly agrees to it for the chance to see what kind of family created her favourite person.

The film was directed by Clea DuVall, and its incredible cast also includes Dan Levy, Aubrey Plaza, Alison Brie, Mary Steenburgen, Jake McDorman, Victor Garber, Mila Kunis and Burl Moseley.

In October, DuVall told EW that she wrote the film from her “own place of truth,” something that Stewart said made the film that much more authentic.

“I grew up watching and loving conventional movies like this. Seeing [marginalized] people loving each other in the middle of something that’s so standardized was really exhilarating and freeing,” Stewart continued. “There’s a lack of confusion and generalization Clea brings [as a queer woman]. I want people to see that two girls in love is just so fun.”

Netflix’s Latest Queer Holiday Movie ‘New York Christmas Wedding’ Is A Heartfelt Surprise

Netflix’s latest LGBTQ+ holiday movie, A New York Christmas Wedding, follows lead bisexual character Jennifer Ortiz (Nia Fairweather) as she explores the world of what could have been.

She is currently second-guesses her impending wedding to her fiancé, and gets cold feet when his overbearing mother insists on a massive Christmas wedding for her son with little regard for the bride’s interests.

As is the stuff of Christmas flicks, a twist of fate brings Jennifer, who’s reeling from the recent loss of her father and the long-ago loss of her best friend, Gabrielle (Adriana DeMeo), together with her guardian angel, Azrael (Cooper Koch). He conjures an alternate world in which Gabrielle and Jennifer’s father are still alive and Jennifer gets a second shot at love with Gabrielle.

Early reviews suggest this romance movie may not be the best you’ve ever seen but if you’re running out of Christmas romance movies on Netflix (which is hard to do) then check this out.

If you’re wanting to dive in, here’s what you can expect:

A New York Christmas Wedding is one of several Christmas movies this year that feature queer leading characters. Among them is the first studio-backed Christmas flick with queer lead characters, Happiest Season, directed by Clea DuVall and starring Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis.

Janelle Monáe Says She Felt ‘Pressure’ To Talk About Her Sexuality

Janelle Monáe has been speaking publicly about her identity for several years, and in 2018 she stated she was a “queer Black woman” who “has been in relationships with both men and women.”

In this months cover interview with Out magazine Monáe explained that she chooses not to talk about her relationships in public, but realised she would have to come out, she said: “I knew because of my art, I would have to talk about these things. So that put more pressure on me.

“The most important thing was me having conversations with my family. It was important that my family be reintroduced, not to the little girl they grew up knowing that they called ‘pumpkin’ or they knew was into this or into that, but they knew who I was today — that they knew that I was a free-ass motherf**ker.”

Monae added: “[Something] I identify with more than ever is the concept of coming in — and people coming into your life — and not coming out. I think there’s so much pressure put on people that can’t afford to announce to the world that, ‘I am queer’ or ‘I’m gay.’

“[I hope people can] talk about their sexuality and being queer, being gay, or being who they are, they can talk about it, not out of fear, but out of love and celebration for who they are.

“If people look at me as that beacon of hope, that’s great, but I always tell people don’t feel any pressure to be me. Take your time.”

Monáe added: “My hope is that we can continue to showcase the spectrum of storytelling around Black voices and around Black human beings, stories that humanize us.

“We can go beyond trauma, showing how powerful we are as Black people to persevere through trauma. I’m ready to see us in the past, the present, the future truly experiencing joy on screen and what it means to just exist.”

At the Oscars earlier this year, she gave an epic shout-out to Black History Month and made clear: “I’m so proud to stand here as a Black queer artist telling stories.”

Monáe explained of her Oscars moment: “[There are] so many people who have graced stages, who are out protesting and who are fighting to have their voices heard. I just happened to have a mic.

“To get on that stage and do anything other than that, would not have felt right to my spirit.”

5 Things To Consider Before You Start Dating Your Best Friend

True story; You meet a girl, befriend her, grow close to her over a period of time, become best friends and one day realize you’re perfect for each other.

In a way, it makes sense: she listens to your pointless rants and remembers your birthday, and you obviously enjoy hanging out with her.

But like any other type of relationship, this kind of romance isn’t always that simple. A strong friendship doesn’t necessarily translate into a strong relationship. Don’t jump into anything without thinking.

Here are five questions to ask yourself before turning your best friend into your girlfriend.

1. Are your feelings more than platonic?

Think about what you feel for your best friend. There should probably be some indication that you’re interested in something more than friendship.

Do you find her attractive? Despite her flaws, can you look at her and think she’s just the right kind of beautiful for you?

Does being with her feel right? Does she make you happy when she’s around, and does she seem to get you?

Think about your relationship with her, and how you’ve felt about her throughout the relationship. Has it gotten stronger over time? That could be a sign that a relationship might just work out for you.

2. Can you guess what her reaction will be when you tell her how you feel?

This is more than whether or not she’ll tell you she feels the same way, too. Although that’s the ideal outcome and the goal of confessing, you also have to consider what her response will be if she’s not interested in you romantically.

Will she be uncomfortable by your proposal, and will your friendship be damaged by the revelation?

That’s why you need to think critically about what kind of person she is, and how will you react to her rejection.

3. Do you see a future for the two of you?

After you ask her if she wants to be more than friends and she says yes, what’s the plan?

As close friends, you probably have a general idea of what her ideas for the future are.

Before asking her, you need to critically consider what her goals are, what yours are and whether the two are compatible.

After all, unlike the typical dating process, you don’t need to go through the getting-to-know-each-other phase and can skip straight to building a relationship.

You have to think about the future of your relationship before it begins.

4. Is she involved with anyone else?

You need to think about the cause and consequences of your confession here.

Is she seeing someone else? Is she happy in her relationship? Would confessing to her compromise two of her closest relationships?

And further, are you motivated by love or feelings of jealousy?

If your best friend has a girlfriend and starts spending more time with her than you, you may start to feel upstaged and like you need to do something drastic to win her back — like make her think she should date you instead.

If you’ve been her closest friend for a while, having that spot snatched can inspire some feelings of insecurity and loss. Make sure you’re confessing for the right reasons.

5. Do you think she could be a good partner?

Here’s the big question.

You could love her from the bottom of your heart, and she might even feel the same, but will she be a good romantic partner?

Think about her romantic history, how she’s treated her girlfriends (or boyfriends) and how she treats you.

Are there any red flags that would suggest she’s not necessarily as good a partner as she is a friend?

Don’t mistake closeness for love, and don’t mistake love for compatibility. You need to consider how her behaviour towards her girlfriend might differ from behaviour towards her best friend.

Don’t blurt your feelings out without thinking about the aftermath. Evaluate your relationship with your best friend. Does it need to be taken to the next level, and can it be?

Good luck!

Is It Ever OK To Look At Your Partner’s Phone?

My girlfriend leaves her phone hanging around all the time. Every time I see it when she’s out of the room, I know, instinctively: her whole life is in that little black box.

And yes, I do get suspicious. We all do, right?!

We want to keep tabs on our significant others, but does that mean I have the right to invade her privacy by going through their phone?

Let’s face it, we are now so engrossed in our technology that we have two lives: our regular life and our phone life.

In our phone life, we are free to say and do whatever we want, sometimes doing what we wouldn’t have the confidence to say or do face-to-face or while chatting on the phone.

We can be whatever version of ourselves we want to be, and we also can have conversations we otherwise would find difficult.

It’s created both confidence and cowardice. We can be bold, but we can also ghost people like there’s no tomorrow.

We also have a myriad of apps at our disposal that can have us hanging out with our significant others while looking for a hookup later. These apps can be hidden in folders and your partner could be none the wiser.

Of course, all of this information is going to make some people nervous about what their partner is doing.

“They’ve been on their phone texting awhile. Is it someone else?”

This sort of insecurity that cheating culture, dating apps and the “but there are so many options out there for me” mentality incites has plenty of people reaching for the phones when their significant other isn’t looking.

This. Is. Not. Healthy.

When you make the decision to invade your partner’s privacy, you’re making it known you simply don’t trust her.

Trust is one of the most important aspects of any relationship. If you don’t have it as part of the foundation, the whole thing is going to wobble and crack.

Feeling like you need to check your girlfriend’s phone to make sure she doesn’t do anything untoward simply means there’s a lack of trust on your part, and that’s not OK.

We believe we’re entitled to know everything our partner says and does, that we have the right to know all of her passwords and should be allowed to check anything we want periodically.

I’m not my girlfriend’s parent, I’m her partner. Some of the stuff she says to friends isn’t my business.

The implications of either asking to go through your significant other’s phone or being sketchy and doing it behind her back are red flags. You’re opening up the floodgates for distrust, suspicion and constant fighting.

If you think your girlfriend is doing something you don’t like, just go straight to the source and ask her directly.

Waiting until she is in the shower or in the kitchen to snoop through stuff is going to backfire spectacularly and will shift the conversation from constructive to destructive pretty quickly.

If you are constantly suspicious regardless of assurances that nothing is going on, then maybe you should reconsider the relationship as a whole.

Invading someone else’s privacy because of insecurity or what you see on TV or hear from your friends — or whatever it is that has you diving for the phone — is not OK.

Open up the lines of communication and always make sure there is ironclad trust between you and the person you’re choosing to be with.

5 Ways Your First Couple’s Vacation Will Help You Decide If She’s ‘The One’

Dating is filled with so many firsts: The first kiss, the first time in bed, the first fight and, of course, the first vacation.

But, don’t let stress put a damper on the fun, because there are a few ways to ensure you both get what you want out of your first trip as a twosome.

1. You’ll experience over 24 hours of non-stop together time.

This is potentially the first time you’ll be together, alone, for 24 hours straight.

And whether you’re a couple with regular sleepovers or a pair that just springs for a quick after-dinner kiss, this is a whole different ball game.

Many uninterrupted days, side by side, will rip you out of your comfort zone. You’ll see each other in your least flattering moments.

Which means you’ll have to let her in on your beauty routine, where she’ll get a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the finished product.

With uninterrupted time together through exciting activities and day-to-day routines, you’ll get a brief taste of life with the other person in it.

2. You’ll tackle challenges together.

Whether figuring out transportation, dealing with a lost credit card or asking for directions in a foreign language, your vacation can give you the opportunity to tackle everything life throws your way together.

Overcoming even a minor travel setback is a blessing in disguise, and it gives you an amazing way to bond together. When you’re transplanted somewhere new, the unfamiliar setting will be refreshingly non-routine and you’ll see how your partner handles unusual, possibly even stressful, situations.

In every experience away from home, both you and your lady will learn how to help each other deal and work toward a solution together.

3. See those true colours.

Whether you like it or not, uninterrupted time means that the glossed over version of yourself will soon disappear, leaving behind our semi-flawed form we all bury until at least six months in.

Those bad character habits tend to slip through. You’ll learn what they are, how to deal with them and how to forgive them.

On the other hand, you’ll learn some of those not-so-shiny parts about yourself. Maybe you’ll even adopt the “my partner can make me a better person” mentality.

4. Balance the control freaks.

When traveling together, a couple’s dynamic may shift depending on who’s a planner and who’s more laid back.

If you’re a planner, your strategy will be to take control and finalise that itinerary before you even step on the plane (you know who you are, people).

Ease up a bit and let your lady decide a thing or two so everyone gets the sight-seeing experience they want. Remember, it’s OK not to have a plan and fly by the seat of your pants. The best discoveries often come without a plan.

For those laid-back partners, you need to speak up. When there’s somewhere you want to go or something you want to do, don’t be afraid to challenge your partner’s plan.

Succumbing to their every wish isn’t realistic long-term. When the vacation glasses are off, you’ll need a healthy give and take, and your vacation is the best place to start.

5. Savour the moment.

At the end of the day, a vacation together is about capturing memories you’ll take home. Whether it’s an inside joke about that guy Dave from the bar or a shared first sushi experience, you’ll fill your mental (and Instagram) photo gallery with snapshots of time well spent.

Pull those photos out during your first screaming match back home; the mood will immediately lighten.

Everyday life might move a mile a minute, but a fleeting vacation makes you savour the moment and slow down. Not a bad mantra for your life back home.

Uninterrupted time away from home kickstarts the comfort and trust in a relationship, and if you take those lessons you learned back home, you’ll grow even closer and build an even stronger foundation.

DC Comics Announce More Queer Female Superheroes

After confirming Wonder Woman is not straight, DC Comics have announced two other female characters who are not only queer, but are in a relationship with each other.

In DC’s Bombshell comic series, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are definitely a couple and their relationship will be a pivotal focus in an upcoming chapter.

DC’s Bombshells comic series re-imagines female superheroes on the front-line fighting World War II with leading ladies Batwoman, Wonder Woman and Supergirl.

The announcement is a shock to some fans but completely expected by others.

Outside the story, many fans have chimed with this relationship mostly for two reasons: Harley and Ivy represent hope after an abusive relationship, and they’re also a rare symbol of queer representation within the comics.

Of course, there are other LGBT characters in DC, and even another lesbian relationship in Bombshells, but more is always better, especially when it comes to a couple who have danced around the fact for years.

Now, finally, we can say for absolute certain that no matter what universe they’re in, Harley and Ivy are in love.

Straight Women Explain Why They Love Watching Lesbian Porn

Despite the stereotype that men love lesbian porn (it’s the 6th most popular search on the site), women are actually the ones who are searching it out in droves.

In fact, they’re 132 percent more likely to search for lesbian porn than men are. While the data doesn’t differentiate between gay, straight or bisexual women who are searching these terms, the numbers are so overwhelmingly high that it’s clear many heterosexual women are looking at it, too.

In the latest video from popular lesbian YouTube vlogger Arielle Scarcella brings together a group of straight women to discuss why they enjoy watching lesbian porn.

So why is lesbian porn consumed by women who identify as straight?

According to Scarcella, it largely comes down to pleasure and the nature of sex between women.

It’s easier for women to imagine themselves receiving pleasure when it’s more focused on the women in it, and there being two of them,” Scarcella told The Huffington Post. “And it’s usually more sensual rather than ‘in and out’ and done with when the guy comes.”

Moments You’ll Understand If You Have A Queer BFF (Video)

Let me start by saying that I love my straight BFFs. Each and everyone of them has taught me something about myself and I value their friendship very much. They make me laugh when I’m about to cry and they are always down to party. What more can you ask for in your best friends?

But sometimes it can all get a bit tricky – watch and relate.

Amber Heard Reaches Out To Domestic Violence Survivors In Powerful Video

Created in partnership with the GirlGaze Project, Amber Heard is reaching out to domestic violence survivors in a new PSA and opens up about her own experience with abuse.

How is this happening to me? I’m strong. I’m smart. I’m not a victim. There’s lot of shame attached. It happens to so many women and when it happens in your home behind closed doors with someone you love it’s not straight forward.”

Heard, finalized her high-profile divorce with actor Johnny Depp in August amid allegations of domestic abuse. After the divorce was finalized, Heard donated the entirety of the $7 million divorce settlement to charity, including half to “the ACLU, with a particular focus to stop violence against women,” she said in a statement at the time.

Heard says in the PSA.

It was pointed out to me that if a stranger did this it wouldn’t be ok. Telling someone safe is the beginning of choosing yourself. I went through it in the public arena and I have a unique opportunity to tell women you’re not alone.”

Heard went on to ask the media to reconsider the way it addresses domestic violence.

It’s about how we deal with it and how we talk about it in the media. We need to take responsibility for how we talk about these things.”

She finishes off the video with a final ditch attempt at persuading victims of domestic violence to speak up.

Speak up. Raise your voice. Your voice is the most powerful thing.”

Ruby Rose Insists Relationship With Jess Origliasso Is Not A Publicity Stunt

In an interview with Richard Wilkins, the Orange Is The New Black actress says her romance with Jess came out of the blue.

I didn’t plan that, obviously. The last thing you want to do when you do a promotional tour on a film and you’ve come all the way out [to Australia] to do it is release a new relationship, so to speak, and a video. It just happened by accident but I’m very lucky.”

Rose sparked reunion rumours when she posted pictures of herself with Jess on Instagram in August, the same time the actress reportedly split from then girlfriend Harley Gusman.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BMcE212gcxD/

Origliasso confirmed the news during a radio interview earlier this month when she told Nova FM’s Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small they had been friends for eight years and “sort of fell in love” over the making of the music video.

Last week, The Veronicas released the clip for On Your Side, which was written and directed by Rose.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BMvzucKAGZ0

This video was responsible for reigniting the flame between the exes, and shows the pair getting up close and personal, looking at a “love that cannot be broken” despite one of the girls’ characters battling a drug addiction.

Origliasso said in a statement:

Ruby Rose is known for creating powerful and intensely affecting work and being given the opportunity to collaborate with her artistic force has been an incredible experience, both personally and professionally”

Chloe Moretz Tackles The Unfortunately Relevant Topic Of Gay Conversion Therapy In New Film

Chloe Moretz will take the lead role in new film The Miseducation of Cameron Post, the story of a young woman forced into a gay conversion therapy centre when she’s caught with another woman.

The story, based on the controversial coming-of-age novel by Emily Danforth, follows 12-year-old orphan Cameron Post (Moretz) who is sent to live with her ultra-conservative aunt after her parents die in a crash.

She starts a relationship with her best friend, the prom queen, which leads Cameron’s aunt to send her to a “de-gaying camp,” where she becomes friends with a fellow resident, played by American Honey‘s Sasha Lane.

Desiree Akhavan, who wrote, directed and starred in the Sundance pic Appropriate Behavior, has come aboard to direct. She also adapted the screenplay with Cecilia Frugiuele.

Moretz has spoken out on several occasions about gay rights, most specifically about the bullying suffered by her gay brothers Trevor and Colin during high school

No one should care what your sexual orientation is, what color your skin is or if you’re a man or a woman. It was really hard to see my brothers be hated on or bullied, so I stood up for them.”

The Miseducation of Cameron Post is set in ’93, yet the issue of gay conversion therapy is still a contentious one in today’s America, given Vice President elect Mike Pence’s previous support of gay cure therapy.

Conversion therapy in the past has involved therapists using electric shock treatments, inducing nausea and using shame to create aversion to same-sex attraction. The therapy can also stretch to gender, as therapists attempt to establish more masculine or feminine traits in their subjects.

Science Says Performing Oral Sex On A Woman Could Be Beneficial To Your Immune System

According to science, 70% of vaginas have a breed of bacteria called Lactobacillus, which produces lactic acid to keep a neutral pH level.

This bacteria also exists in your gut and works as a probiotic which can affect a range of health issues from allergies to Alzheimer’s

Broadly approached a doctor on the subject to ask whether performing oral sex could help benefit your immune system, and Dr Helena Mendes-Soares confirmed it could be a possibility.

I think it would be possible, but probably unlikely. I don’t know of any study that addressed it.”

To fully work as a probiotic fluid produced by the vagina would have to contain enough good bacteria to take an effect. It would also have to safely travel to the lower intestine without being effected by stomach acid.

According to Dr. Mendes-Soares, there are about 100,000 to 100 million Lactobacillus cells per gram of vaginal fluid.

That means to experience any probiotic affects from its properties, anywhere between 10g and 10 kg of vaginal fluid would have to be digested.

Dr Medes-Soares also warned that the intake of probity would be affected by contamination.

There would also be a transmission of the other current members of the community both the beneficial and harmful ones.”

Obama Awards Ellen DeGeneres Presidential Medal Of Freedom

This week, President Obama named Ellen DeGeneres as one of the recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom recognises people who have made “especially meritorious contributions” to the US, the White House said, and is seen as the highest honour a civilian can receive in the US.

In a statement, he said the medal was a “tribute to the idea that all of us, no matter where we come from, have the opportunity to change this country for the better”.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is not just our nation’s highest civilian honor – it’s a tribute to the idea that all of us, no matter where we come from, have the opportunity to change this country for the better. From scientists, philanthropists, and public servants to activists, athletes, and artists, these 21 individuals have helped push America forward, inspiring millions of people around the world along the way.”

Obama will honour the 20 other people at a ceremony.

Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Diana Ross and Robert Redford are among the other honourees from the entertainment world.

Bill and Melinda Gates and Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels will also be recognised.

Nicola Adams Says She’s Encountered Racism And Sexism In Boxing, But Never Homophobia

Nicola Adams became the first woman to secure an Olympic boxing title when she won gold at London 2012 and is also the reigning Olympic, World, Commonwealth Games and European champion at flyweight.

Asked by GQ magazine about whether she encounters prejudice in the sport, the British boxer (who is bisexual) said:

Racism, yes. Sexism, yes, in boxing: people saying women shouldn’t box. I’ve never come across homophobia.

The racism was more when I was younger, in primary school, and it’s about kids not understanding. I used to struggle with being called black. I said, ‘No, look at me, I’m brown’.

My mother’s side is quite mixed. She’s mixed race, my uncles and my auntie have white partners, my stepdad is white. I was always used to seeing white and black round the table. I never understood why people would be racist.”

gqnicolaadams0211a

Adams says she realised she was bisexual aged 15, and has gone on to top the list of Britain’s most influential LGBT people.

It was quite a scary thought for me at the time. You never know how the family is going to react, so I was nervous.

Mum was in the kitchen washing up and I was like, ‘I’ve got something to tell you’. I was so nervous, I was really sweating.

She said ‘What’s wrong?’ and I was just like ‘I’m bisexual’ and she said ‘OK… put the kettle on’.”

nicola-adams-british-vogue-2016-her-pink-jersey

This year in Rio Adams successfully defended her gold medal, but said her greatest regret was never meeting her hero, Muhammad Ali, who died in June.

I would loved to have met him and said, ‘You are the reason I wanted to become an Olympic champion too’.

He will always be known, he’ll always be there, the greatest who ever lived.

Nobody will ever forget him.”

Sam Fox Opens Up About Her Sexuality: “I Would Say I Prefer To Be With Women”

Sam Fox has admitted she has been frightened to label her sexuality.

The former glamour model turned singer and reality star, come-out publicly back in 2003, when she declared she was in love with her then partner, Myra Stratton.

The couple were together over a decade, but sadly Stratton passed away in 2015 of cancer, leaving Fox devastated.

Speaking on British TV show Loose Women, she revealed that her perception of her sexuality has shifted, as she has entered another relationship with a woman.

I was a bit scared. People in Britain do know about it, and on Big Brother I talked about it. It was a good chance to speak about it in my own words.

I did sit on the fence a little bit. I said I don’t believe in labels. For a long time I was a bit scared, because I did feel maybe – I’ve got of male fans and female fans too – and I was scared I would lose that fanbase.”

Asked if she finds it hard to say ‘I am gay’, she added:

A little bit, because it is a label isn’t it. I always believe in love, you can’t help who you fall in love with, but I can’t really see myself ever marrying a guy.”

She was also asked if she was worried it would be bad for business, she said: “Yes.”

The fact I was with Myra for 16 years and now I am in love again with another woman. It’s just I would say I prefer to be with women. It’s lovely being in love, don’t ever forget that. Be true to yourself.”

Anna Kendrick Wants Lesbian Love Scene With Brittany Snow In ‘Pitch Perfect 3’

Anna Kendrick will soon be seen reprising her role as Beca in Pitch Perfect 3, with fans of the movies speculating about what the plot will hold for Beca and Brittany Snow’s character Chloe.

The chemistry between Beca and Chloe is something that was noticed in the first film and capitalised upon in the sequel, so Kendrick is hopeful that this storyline will be explored further in the next instalment.

In an interview with The Advocate to promote her new book Scrappy Little Nobody, Kendrick said

I mean, our characters are pretty much in a lesbian relationship. As far as we’re concerned, they’re secretly in love. We’ve joked that there will be all-out passionate lovemaking in the third movie. Too bad we still need that PG-13 rating.”

b80fe5b14cc4189e4533d97723aa9b59

If people didn’t think it was cute, we wouldn’t have pushed that chemistry even further in Pitch Perfect 2. The more we have fun with it, the more people seem to like it.”

Despite that, she admitted that she still finds it hard to believe that some people consider her a gay icon.

Oh, man. I’m such a straight, cis, Boringface McGee over here, so I love that that could be even a little true. The idea that I’m resonating with other people who have ever felt like outsiders is the coolest.”

Kendrick was also asked how susceptible she is to girl crushes, after publicly flirting with stars such as Emily Blunt on social media.

It’s funny, isn’t it? I can’t imagine how that manifests itself for straight men with guy crushes, but when girls have girl crushes, I feel like there’s this sort of puppy love that’s hard to explain. It’s not a grown-up attraction, but it’s not purely platonic admiration either.”

Anna also revealed she finds it more of a compliment if a woman admits a girl crush on her than if a man finds her appealing.

It’s flattering. If a guy wants to f**k you, it’s like, congratulations, you have a vagina and a pulse. So if a girl wants to f**k me, I can actually feel pretty good about that.”

Study Finds Slight Shift In Attitudes Toward Bisexuals, From Negative To Neutral

While positive attitudes toward lesbians and gay men have increased, a new study – led by researchers at IU’s Center for Sexual Health Promotion – shows attitudes toward bisexual men and women are relatively neutral, if not ambivalent.

The study, which is only the second to explore attitudes toward bisexual men and women, was led by Brian Dodge, associate professor in the Department of Applied Health Science and associate director of the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University’s School of Public Health-Bloomingtom.

He said,

While recent data demonstrates dramatic shifts in attitude (from negative to positive) toward homosexuality, gay/lesbian individuals and same-sex marriage in the U.S., most of these surveys do not ask about attitudes toward bisexuality or bisexual individuals. And many rely on convenience sampling strategies that are not representative of the general population of the U.S.”

The study looked at five negative connotations, found in previous studies, associated with bisexual men and women, including the idea that they are confused or in transition regarding their sexual orientation, that they are hypersexual and that they are vectors of sexually transmitted diseases.

The research showed that a majority of male and female respondents, more than one-third, were most likely to “neither agree nor disagree” with the attitudinal statements. In regard to bisexual men and women having the capability to be faithful in a relationship, nearly 40% neither agreed nor disagreed.

Those who identified as “other” had the most positive attitudes toward bisexuality, followed by gay/lesbian respondents and then heterosexuals.

Age played a factor in the results, with participants under the age of 25 indicating more positive attitudes toward bisexual men and women. Income and education also played a role: Higher-income participants were more likely to report more positive attitudes toward bisexual men and women, in addition to participants with higher levels of education.

Overall, attitudes toward bisexual women were more positive than attitudes toward bisexual men.

While our society has seen marked shifts in more positive attitudes toward homosexuality in recent decades, our data suggest that attitudes toward bisexual men and women have shifted only slightly from very negative to neutral. That nearly one-third of participants reported moderately to extremely negative attitudes toward bisexual individuals is of great concern given the dramatic health disparities faced by bisexual men and women in our country, even relative to gay and lesbian individuals.”

Bisexual men and women face a disproportionate rate of physical, mental and other health disparities in comparison to monosexuals—those who identify as exclusively heterosexual and exclusively homosexual, Dodge said. Although research has not determined the cause, Dodge said that negative attitudes and stigma associated with bisexuality could play a role.

Data from the National Survey of Sexual Health and Behavior shows that approximately 2.6% of adult men and 3.6% of adult women in the U.S. identify as bisexual. For females, that number is more than double the number of women who identify as lesbian, 0.9%. When it comes to adolescents, 1.5% of male adolescents (age 14 to 17) and 8.4% of female adolescents identify as bisexual.

Dodge said he hopes the results emphasize the need for efforts to decrease negative stereotypes and increase acceptance of bisexual individuals as a component of broader initiatives aimed at tolerance of sexual and gender minority individuals.

After documenting the absence of positive attitudes toward bisexual men and women in the general U.S. population, we encourage future research, intervention and practice opportunities focused on assessing, understanding and eliminating biphobia—for example, among clinicians and other service providers—and determining how health disparities among bisexual men and women can be alleviated.”

Kristen Stewart Makes First Public Appearance With St Vincent

Kristen Stewart and St Vincent stepped out together this week, make their red carpet debut.

The pair arrived together at the Vogue party in LA on Wednesday night, going public with their romance for the first time.

Vincent and Stewart are rumoured to have been dating for the last few weeks and have been spotted out and about together on a number of occasions.

But the Hollywood fashion event marked the first time that they had attended a public event together, putting the rumours to rest.

St. Vincent split from her model ex Cara Delevingne this past summer after a year of dating. The singer was first spotted with Stewart in early October when they attended the New York Film Festival together.

Stewart previously dated producer Alicia Cargile. She talked with ET earlier this week about being more open about her personal life recently.

I think it takes a minute to sort of acclimate to communicating with so many people at one time, with like, ‘the masses,’ you know. I think it’s only beneficial, like… for me to have so many pathways open — it ends up kind of not allowing people to misconstrue you.”

Indian-Made Lesbian Web Series Gets Highest Nominations at NYC Web Fest

Filmmaker Roopa Rao’s debut web series The Other Love Story is an innocent love story between two girls set in the 90’s era in India.

After facing rejection from several producers, Roopa turned to crowdfunding to help bring this original and realistic story to the society, now the web series is leading nominations at the NYC Web Fest, with six nominations.

Roopa says,

When I made this series, I had no expectations about what I wanted from it or where it would go. I just wanted it to release and share the story, and hoped that people were engaged and entertained with each episode. I am thrilled that we have been noticed by a platform like this and that we are competing on a global level for some of the top awards at the festival.”

Roopa says that though her project deals with a sensitive topic and the medium she chose to narrate it on wasn’t conventional, she was glad she did it.

This project happened organically. I have been a writer and like to tell stories. I must have written this story when I was in college. But I was waiting for someone else to make it because I didn’t know how to. Since then, I kept thinking of a web series because video-sharing channels started monetizing it. This was a great platform for storytellers like us who want to tell something as it is and with freedom of expression. It took me some time to research the medium, and given that it doesn’t require big budgets and there is no distributor in between who you have to satisfy, I found the medium encouraging. Also, when I approached producers, they were apprehensive due to the subject and the medium. In that way, it has been a long journey and fight, but here we are today, with nominations at a festival like this and it has been worth it.”

Delevingne has recently scored roles in Suicide Squad, Paper Towns and Pan. She will also star in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets set to be released in July alongside Rihanna, Clive Owen and Ethan Hawke.

Of her decision to shift away from modelling, she previously told WWD,

I’m just going to be taking my time and doing things that I really care about, you know, parts that I really enjoy. But we’ll see. I don’t know. I never want to expect anything of the future, I just want to kind of try my best and see what happens.”

Delevingne hasn’t strayed too far. She is the face of the latest Saint Laurent campaign for La Collection de Paris. Earlier this year, she was named the face of Rimmel, fronted the Lady Garden campaign and will appear in Puma’s “Do You” Campaign.

Ellen DeGeneres Talks Love And Marriage

Talking to PEOPLE in this week’s cover story, Ellen DeGeneres admits that her life has been blessed by any standards.

I’m grateful for everything. I’m grateful for my health, and I’m so grateful for the love in my life. Because not everybody finds that. Not everybody finds that best friend.”

1f8205f339cb75a3e75a92b8e32a981b

DeGeneres, who tied the knot with Portia de Rossi in 2008, insists she has learned to never take their relationship for granted.

Portia and I constantly say to each other, ‘We are so lucky.’ Sometimes it’s lying in bed at night before I go to sleep, and I just say thank you to whatever, whoever is out there. I’ve gotten to a place where I really am just settled. Really. I know that I’m not going anywhere. She’s not going anywhere. I’m not saying the relationship took a while; I’m saying in my life, it took a while to find this.”

When it comes to love, DeGeneres adds.

You get what you give. I think you can’t expect someone to treat you a certain way. Whatever it is, if you’re getting a lot of negative energy or anger, you have to say, ‘Why am I getting this? Am I doing something to create it?’ And if the answer is honestly no, then get out of that situation.”

DeGeneres also says they strive to put their marriage first, despite their busy careers.

Our priorities are each other too. If we had kids, then I’m sure they would be, but we are. And that’s important.

I think the word ‘love’ is thrown around, like, ‘I love you’ is great to hear, but you want to feel it. You want to feel that you’re understood, and they know exactly who you are, and they know how to take care of you. That, to me, is family. I don’t think it has anything to do with blood relation. Family for everyone is different.”

So what’s the best part about being married? DeGeneres adds.

There’s no best part. It’s everything. I can’t imagine not being married. I have my best friend, the person I want to spend time with more than anybody else in the world.”

As its title implies, the new song I’m With Her is a pro-Hillary Clinton anthem, and its video was made by director Laura Parnes and producer Tanya Selvaratnam for Filmmakers for Hillary, “a coalition of creatives committed to electing Hillary Clinton as President of the United States,” whose “mission is to organize creativity and inspiration into persuasion and mobilization.”

The video features footage of Le Tigre,  Clinton and her supporters, and kitty cats.

‘Vaginas Against Trump’: OITNB Cast & Crew Send Donald Trump A Clear Message

Taking to Instagram, the cast and crew of Netlix’s Orange Is the New Black took a stand against Donald Trump, who is under fire for lewd comments he made about women with then-Access Hollywood co-host Billy Bush in a leaked video from 2005.

In the photo, which was originally posted by Lea DeLaria, the group don orange and black T-shirts emblazoned with the phrase, Vaginas Against Trump.

The shirts speak for themselves. Vaginas and the people who love them are really really done.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/BLjpR9aFW5d/

The high profile posting drew ire from some with one user responding to the image with an equally strongly worded message:

Love diminishing women as just a body part. So classy.”

DeLaria, 58, wrote back.

You’re right! I’m objectifying women. I’m so glad this straight white guy was able to point out my evil ways.”

Vaginas Against Trump shirts are being sold through an organization by the same name which was set up a week before Trump’s video was unearthed.

‘Mr. Trump, We see your sexist, racist, and oppressive ways and today we say NO MORE! We stand united with those you consistently devalue and demean,’ the group wrote.

Hillary Clinton Writes Historic Pro-LGBTQ Op-Ed

Hillary Clinton may have started out with a confusing and sometimes embattled relationship to the LGBTQ community, but now she is asserting her commitment to progress and equal rights.

In a historic op-ed published in Philadelphia Gay News, Clinton talks marriage equality, and workplace discrimination.

The simple truth is that even now, in 2016, there are still too many states in America where LGBT people can be fired or evicted from their home because of who they are or who they love. Pennsylvania is one of them. Here, you can get married on Sunday and fired on Monday, just for being gay or transgender.

That goes against everything we stand for as a country. We need to act on the federal level to take on discrimination in all its forms. That’s what I’ll do as President — with your help.”

She also discusses the effects her opponent Donald Trump would have on the community if he were to win the presidential race.

Donald Trump must not be elected president. He would rip away so much of the progress we’ve made. He would appoint Supreme Court justices who would overturn marriage equality and rescind many of President Obama’s executive orders — including those protecting LGBT people.”

Clinton also took this opportunity to point out the shameful anti-LGBTQ history of her opponent’s choice for Vice President:

Mike Pence is one of the most anti-LGBT public officials in America. As governor of Indiana, Pence supported a bill that legalized discrimination against LGBT people. As a member of Congress, he voted against expanding the definition of hate crimes to include sexual orientation and gender identity. He opposed the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,’ saying doing so would be ‘social experimentation.’ And he’s said that homosexuality would bring about ‘societal collapse.'”

Smartly, Hillary also noted the importance of inter-sectionality in discussions of LGBTQ people:

The danger [of violence] is compounded for LGBT people of color, who face intersectional pressures and dangers, particularly transgender people of color.”

The article marks the first time a presidential candidate from a major party has written for an LGBTQ newspaper, and is a way for Clinton to silence critics who have questioned her commitments to these issues.

Samira Wiley Is a Conflicted Mother In New Kitty Genovese Movie ’37’

Samira Wiley may have exited Orange Is the New Black this season, but the actress – who played fan favourite Poussey Washington – is moving on to a new challenge.

Wiley’s new film 37 is a powerful drama and a fictional account of the 1964 rape and murder of Kitty Genovese, and the 37 people who “did nothing” as it happened.

Directed by Danish actress and filmmaker, Puk Gratsen, the film’s retelling is told entirely from the perspectives of her apathetic neighbours.

Wiley plays Joyce Smith who, with her husband and son, fled the race riots in Harlem and have just moved into the Queens neighbourhood.

Talking about the movie to Hollywood Life, Wiley said

As an actor, I want to do a lot of different roles and different from the things people know me for. So that was the first thing that definitely attracted me to the role.

The Kitty Genovese story, which I actually wasn’t familiar with before this film. Researching and figuring out the particulars of what happened that night was definitely — I felt like — a story that needed to be told. To be able to have the opportunity to not only tell that story but also working with such an amazing cast and especially Michael Potts, I just felt like I learned so much to better myself as an actor.

37-2-744x475

She added

Honestly, I really do think something like that is possible in happening today. I think people are so afraid of speaking up because I think there’s this notion of: “If I’m the first one to say something, then I’m going to be the first person that suspicion is cast on.”

The Conundrum Of The Hour: Are Kristen Stewart And Annie Clark Dating Now Or What?

Tongues are beginning to wag – are these guys together, or just suddenly really good friends?

The press would have us believe Kristen Stewart is dating musician St. Vincent (real name Annie Clark).

‘Sources’ have told both Us Weekly and Page Six that the pair – who were spotted hanging out in New York last week – are definitely an item

And according to Us Weekly, Stewart brought Clark to premiere of her film Certain Women in New York. The following week, Stewart attended Clark’s concert in Los Angeles.

But what happened to Cara and Alicia? Well, this summer St. Vincent and Cara Delevingne called it quits on their relationship.

Kristen Stewart is now reported to have split from her on-off girlfriend Alicia Cargile.

Stewart, who has become increasingly vocal about her dating life, told Elle that she is ready to be up front about her romantic life.

I’m not ashamed, and I’m not confused. Things have changed. And not just with me—we’re really allowed to encourage this new acceptance to develop and be awesome.”

But as her relationship with Clark reportedly begins, it’s taking place in the public eye.

Only time will tell if they make it onto the list of confirmed fall 2016 romances—repairing some of this summer’s leftover heartbreak.

Jane Lynch, Tyler Oakley, Lance Bass, & RuPaul Just Got Told To ‘Tone Down’ Their Gay (Video)

Have you ever been asked to ‘tone down’ your gayness?

Well, US sitcom The Real O’Neals – the ABC show that is based on the life of the gay outspoken columnist Dan Savage – has delivered a triumphant new video parodying just that.

In the clip, shows the O’Neals watching a gay pride parade on TV, when the Catholic mum of out-and-proud teenager Kenny asks her son if he can tell the other gays to “tone it down a bit”.

Kenny then sarcastically replies,

Sure thing, we all know each other, so I’m just going to hop onto the rainbow bat phone and call everyone”

Kenny does in fact get on the rainbow phone, and first tries Lance Bass, who then calls Jane Lynch, who then rings Tyler Oakley, who contacts RuPaul.
